Because it works uncontrolled. Save for the people that have to maintain the root nodes, the internet is completely self sufficient and rugged enough to function even half dead. It's wild and uncontrolled, and that doesn't sit well in the eyes of people that think EVERYTHING needs to be controlled. How dare people be able to visit ANY site on the internet and say ANYTHING that could offend someone else or violate their imaginary right to happiness in some way.

Pardon my diversion, but where is the actual fucking source in that article that states the specific rules?

They link to Obama's promise speech...they link to the White House's support of the FCC...they talk about how it was one of Obama's appointed bureaucrats who made these changes...

But they don't actually say what the changes are. They allude to them, but without evidence, I cannot trust that site on account of bias.
