@sennius: How so?
You should use the quote button, so that way a little message is sent to the person who is quoted to see that they are being talked to/about.

The first episode was trying a bit hard, but then again they were excited that they got put back on the air and that sort of shows in their work. Kind of like how the first few episodes of one of the Escapist shows seemed a bit too forward because they were excited that they got picked. I'm sure they'll calm down and get back to their crazy fun once the hype dies down a bit.

More or less, just glad to see some new futurama happening!

Pressed "reply" instead of "quote" by accident.

I loved both episodes, but it kind of felt like they were leaning on the "end of the world/*gasp* the whole crew is dead!" plot hook, both of which were used in the movies. Like I said, I enjoyed both episodes very much, I just hope they don't keep on recycling these plot points in the future. Futurama is too good to do us like that!

I really like it. The first one was a bit complicated, but like the topic starter said it was just to keep CANON (he spelled it wrong) and the second made up for it. I fell though like they're trying to make it a bit complicated, but I don't really mind. More Futurama is a great thing.

It was pretty good but I feel it hasn't reclaimed its former glory yet. It came close and I have high hopes for the rest of the series.

EDIT: All hail! Bender!

Quite enjoyed it, but it was a bit weird that both episodes involved a sort of amnesia plot (first one with Fry and robots, the second one with Leela and Zap). But the parody of censorship and that Star Trek movie was brilliant. Guess there's only this left to say:
It's Back, Baby!

The first was a little slow to start and had too little in terms of fourth wall structural integrity, but the second was a 'classic' Futurama episode, complete with continuity nods and numerous pop nerd culture references. The Star Trek: The Movie and Star Wars ep. IV parodies were especially fall-off-your-chair funny.

I thought the first episode was just meh, but still completely necessary to have a explain what happened in a somewhat logical way, even if it was illogical at times. The second one was hilarious, though, as Zap Brannigan has always been one of my favorite characters of all time. Break out the sham-pag-an!

Would rather have seen them on Adult Swim though. New episodes would not have aired without them.

The first one was okay, but I see why they did it. I don't know why they needed to tie the feature length things in, but whatever.

The second one... was classic.

I wax my rocket every night.

Seeing as Zap Brannigan is one of my least favorite characters ever, in any show, you can guess what I though about the second episode. I watched the first one and was sufficiently happy when they just left him hanging there, but then at the end when the slid out I mentally facepalmed and lowered my expectations of the next episode significantly. I suppose the ending of the second episode was supposed to be a satire of censorship, but... no. It makes perfect sense when you think of it only as a satire, though. Although I still want Zap brannigan to die. There's a huge difference between funny characters who think they're something they aren't; the crocs from Pearls Before Swine? Funny. Zap Brannigan? Cringe inducing, and makes every show he's in hard to watch). Although, I wonder if they wil actually do anything with Fry and Leela, seeing as how she
had sex with Zap Brannigan... again.
Or maybe the whole "for the good of mankind not being blown up" thing will be used and Fry won't care. But hey, the less episodes Zap is in, the more I will watch.
