Well, I don't know about that mad colour palette, but I'm sure it'll look kickin' in 3D and the kids'll love it. Totes amaze, but I think I'll probably check out what else is on that week. If the schoolkids are all watching that, I might get a really quiet screening of something else.

. . . what is it about current American comedy and the need for having that awkward pause humor. 'Oh wait, you were-... Okay my bad I thought I was gonna...' These sort of joke stumbles that are apparently funny for not landing, cuz 'Oooh awkwardness'. . . .
Because they don't understand/care about timing and discipline. A lot of "comedies" are just two people flinging dirty lines and references at each other until something sticks and is considered good enough to go on to the next scene. Creative set-ups, subtle acting, writing and direction take time and effort, which doesn't necessarily pay off, while
Meet The Spartans might make money ass over fist with comparatively little risk. Why craft something like
Hot Fuzz when you can just string together a load of bits and make
Ted 2?
I wouldn't say that kind of humour just plain isn't funny, but it rarely gets a chuckle out of me, while I can watch
Fry and Laurie over and over.
