Makes me curious if that death/shadow will feature in more videos, kinda a running theme.
Again, I pose my question: Could it be that this entity is supposed to be Dream from Neil Gaiman's "Sandman"? Or at least an homage to that character?

Average, not interested. Pretty good animation though.

I hate the Gorillaz. Always felt their music was bland and uninspired. However, while I still hate them, I did finally learn what their music is good for after playing DJ Hero. They simply make decent background mix music to put someone else's songs to. When you do this, they aren't terrible, but mostly because they aren't the center focus.

I would love to give my opinion, but Youtube won't let me watch it because it's "not available in your country."

But not the whole thing yet. Give it... time, maybe?

Umm.... Well the trailer music was just a generic rap thing. I like their songs with rap parts but it's usually because Damon's voice compliments everything so well.
So yeah.
Haven't heard the full song, but initial impressions aren't good.

Define "bland" and "uninspired", because whenever I hear people bitching about something being "bland", it usually translates into "It's popular and I can't increase my hipster cred by listening to this". I'm not going to argue that the self-titled was the pinnacle of creativity (personally, I don't care for it too much), but Demon Days was anything BUT run-of-the-mill.

If you didn't like their first two albums, you should still give PB a shot for one reason: It sounds nothing like DD or s/t. The mood of the album is a complete 180 degree turn and it's doing a damn good job at dividing the fanbase, kind of like Radiohead's Kid A did.

Bland and Uninspired for me basically meaning it wasn't anything I hadn't heard before. They obviously did something right because they have a big following, but I just wanted a bit more than what they offered.

That said, I haven't listened to anything off their latest album (or much off the second, once I heard that the second was the same as the first album).

If something is popular or unpopular doesn't matter to me for weather or not I'll like it (Hell, my favorite FF is FFVII), but I understand where you are coming from. I can promise that I gave them a shot, and just didn't like it (unless it was mixed with something else, it is very good for that). I'll give their new album a chance at some point, but it isn't high on my list of music to check out. My iTunes wishlist already has 250 dollars in stuff to buy lol.

I don't care for the art style change but the song was okay.

Did anyone else think it was funny that Murdoc tried to roll up the window when Bruce Willis had the revolver pointed at him?

pretty good, doesn't rank up with it's best stuff, but still better than a lot of stuff I've heard recently.

So someone already remixed it?

That is freakin' awesome.

Currently listening to the album online via the Guardian thing, and I like most of it. Unfortunatly going to have to wait until the 20th to actually own it, as it's my birthday then (ie, I can get it for free :D )

Love Goriliaz. They make good all round chill music. Nothing to extreme, nothing to boring. Perfect for my gaming sessions.

It was a decent song. I'm more excited to see what else is on their new album.

The animation style change in the video bugged me too. Hope this doesn't mean that 2D Gorillaz are gone forever.
I think it was just that way because his almightyness Bruce Willis was in the video.
