I once had a whim and I had to obey it,
to buy a French horn from a second-hand shop.
I carried it home and I started to play it,
in spite of the neighbours who begged me to stop.
To sound my horn, I had to develop my embouchure.
I found my horn was a bit of a devil to play,
so artfully wound,
to give you a sound,
a wonderful sound,
so rich and round.

How about Guitar Dance Revolutionary Singstar? It's a JRPG in which to navigate the tricky caverns you have to dance on the pad and all hostile encounters are settled by musical duel. All mini-games are also musical, especially the whack-a-rat on the drums, and there are lots of conversations to be had while walking and fights taking place on precipitous crags and precarious bridges that require you to dance and play simultaneously. There are also singing challenges, and all players wear headsets with microphones and have to take part. There are some places you have to both sing and play in order to tease information out of an opponent while fighting or a lover while making the beast with two backs (or a client while pole-dancing, why not?) to unlock side-quests that really help with the rest of the game.
The end fight requires all four players to sing, play and dance simultaneously, and on high skill levels you get a full-screen view of the action and the notes, words and dance instructions follow your avatars around the screen.
