So I'm confused, are you going to get your starter Pokemon from the first game back if you played it, or are you going to choose your starter like always? Because I would really like to see my Serperior again.

It looks like a lot of familiar faces are going to return. Gary/Blue, Brock, what I assume is Misty, Cynthia, Steven, Volkner, and Lance. 0_o

That's lame since that mean he will be one of the weaker starter gym leaders (I mean I thought he was the better rival compare to the past rivals) unless he is one of the more stronger gym leader later on. Either way I bet we won't see which starter Pokemon he picked from the first game, maybe the excuse is that it's too ill to battle.

That was the hardest gym battle in the game. There is no Pokemon more frustrating than miltank.

Right that's it I am buying this game, with out a doubt in my mind I am buying this game, they had me sold the second I saw Steven Stone.

Also I do agree normal types shouldn't be taking lightly, people seem to forget they only have one weakness (except for a few duel normal types) and they're capable of so many awesome moves. They really do deserve more respect then people give them.

I'm sorry, but I've played every gen of Pokemon, and Normal gym leaders are ALWAYS the toughest, barring Dragon of course.

Whitney's Miltank is really, really tough if you don't have a fighting type or a rock type.
Norman's Slaking hits like a freight train.
Lenora's Watchog is one of the most annoyingly difficult fights in that entire game.

Ok granted I did find Norman Slaking quite tough to defeat back in Ruby but these days I tend to enter the Gym leader gym fully prepare with my higher level Pokemons compare to theirs and bring the type advantage Pokemon with me or with the effective moves.
I just underestimate the Normal types since there is no types that has a disavantage against those while they weak against rock and fighter is effective.

Agreed. On my last playthrough of Red, I discovered the awesomeness that is Clefairy. Ended up becoming one of the best members on my team.
