Mecha Tyranitar?

Pokemon had just garunteed a sale from me.
Same, I wonder if it's a story thing or this is a big ass shake up with a whole bunch of alternate forms and abilities similar to dreamworld. I assume it's compatible with black and white 1 so I doubt it's the latter.

I'm simply hoping these will be good, Black and White were just terrible in my opinion. There just wasn't anything to them, they just felt mind-numbingly boring. I don't know why, really.

Damn, I want this game! Not only does Lance return, but so does Giovanni? AWESOME!

Also, I want the boyfriend to get a copy as well so that we can play together, but he's not willing to do that. Jerk. >:[

EDIT: Speaking of Pokemon, you can get a Darkrai in B/W through Nintendo WiFi right now!

I wish they had kept with the teenagers instead of going back to kids for the sequel. I also would've preffered to stay as Jaden Yuki, but I could ignore all that, if the Starters weren't the crap ones from the first Black/White games.

So wait Black 2 and White 2 are sequels to Black and White version but they're bringing back characters from early games? Da fuq? I'd rather play Pokemon Brown. It'd be more humourous anyway.

Wonder if bringing in the old characters means some of the older pokemon will be available to be caught. Haven't played the games since Emerald. Tried Diamond. Didn't like it. I miss the originals like Gengar, Ninetales, Sandslash, etc. If they incorporate the ability to catch the old pokemon, not wifi trade for them, with the new plot featuring the old characters, they could make the best entry in the series ever.

It's cool that they're bringing back a lot of old characters. I hope this means I can kick my previous characters' asses. It's high time someone took Gold down.

so... do you have a problem with that? it's set in the same country as last game of course the older ones are in the new game. they just have different jobs now.

actually I'm pretty sure that you could catch a sandslash in diamond. they usually don't let you find some of the older pokemon until you beat the game but from what I've heard you can catch previous gen pokemon as part of the new dex.

Wouldn't mind that; it's a bit of nostalgia on my part, I guess. I got Blue version when I was 4, and thanks to it, no lie, I learned to read. Ninetales, Gengar and Sandslash have always been on my team's when possible, so to use them in the new versions would be just awesome.

Well I haven't played Pokemon since Sapphire Version (which I loved along with Gold and Blue Version) so its not really a problem with me. But I don't get why they are bringing characters from the original iteration of the games into this one. Its a strange concept. I mean why are they even there? I always imagined the reason why you don't play the same character in each game was due to some invisible dome encasing each of the regions that cut off communication with people from other regions which also explained why you weren't likely to encounter pocket monsters from the region that you adventured in the previous game. Otherwise, there were huge jumps in time between each game allowing for diversity in pokemon types to appear and new creatures to develop as well as regions and cities to restructure or be relocated. In the end I have the opinion 'Da fuq?' as I don't really get the motivation behind the reasoning or motivation behind the characters being there. Though I haven't decided whether I might get the game or not as I don't properly know what it'll be like yet. Also the Pokemon Brown reference was related to a parody movie on Newgrounds as well as a reference to games that make little to no change in design with each release are like the color brown. Basically, I was trying to make a joke.

Seriously? Pokemon have now run so thin on ideas they are literally just bringing out the same game twice with insanely slight area tweaks? It's bad enough selling what is essentially the same game with new pokemon each year since 96, but this one has three slightly retconned pokemon as the only edition to this game? Pokemon stopped being fun to play after platinum, and none of the starters have been any good since silver. I used to love pokemon, it was a huge part of my childhood, and it feels like they're just bleeding it dry. Am I the only person who thinks a George Lucas comparison is in order?
IT'S THE SAME GAME!
Dude, I think you're describing stuff like Platinum there. Black 2 & White 2 have whole new areas that weren't anywhere in the last game, whole new bosses, whole new gameplay mechanics and a whole new plotline.

Is that not enough changes from the last games for you?

But this game looks pretty dang awesome to me. And when I saw the thing about the ability to fight past generation bosses I thought that the team that work on Nintendo are slowly but surely coming closer to the all-encompassing game, giving you the ability to visit ALL of the regions and catch ALL of the Pokemon, that a lot of Pokemon fans want.

They had me at "Mecha Tyranitar" =)

Its awesome they're actually trying with the story now - White was one of my favourites so far cus the story had more depth than "Go to new city, Beat Gym Leader, Go to next city, etc...".

So I'm confused, are you going to get your starter Pokemon from the first game back if you played it, or are you going to choose your starter like always? Because I would really like to see my Serperior again.
I'm more concerned with how they are going to let you transfer over all your Pokemon you've collected in B/W. My Pokedex is 400 and something and I have a fair few of that number ordered in my computer storage. If they do a 6 at a time limit like they have done with other games... I might break something!

Anyway I was looking forward to these games before but now I'm reeeeally interested :D
