It looks like there will be a new Overlord [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZheVXS6rkRQ] game coming. The style seems to be very different this time around, as the game looks more of a Diablo-something-Gauntlet problem-solver devoid of minions.
While I wasn't all that fond of Overlord 2, I have very positive memories of the first, and the singular evil Overlord is iconic to this type of setting. Replacing him with 4 "not-so-much-Over"-lords just might lead to a very different game.
Have you ever heard of a good vs evil saga where the good side relied on a single strong entity while the evil side was composed of multiple weaker ones? No? That's because good is always about cooperation and strength through unity, while evil is egoistic, selfish, and untrustworthy. That is also a part of the charm of Overlord. Or was, as my well be the case.
The trailer shows a little gameplay at the end. What do you think? Will this be a different game altogether? Can they even pull it off? I was really looking forward to being evil, and smacking a few minions around. Now, I'm not sure if evil is going to be all that fun anymore.
