I think this trailer really sums up COD, all style, no substance, and expensive!
Or more like it says: "Hey this game cares more for fun then realism!"

God people will find anything to hate even if it's not there.

Faith in Escapist -5.
there are plenty of moments that COD tries to go for realism, and generally fails at it...so yeah, it cares a bit about realism.

and personally i find most of the games absolute shit to playthrough, so it isn't about the fact of "haters gonna hate" rather than i actually DO think the games are shit.

granted, the trailers tend to be really good across the board, i tend to enjoy them.

Aside from maybe MW1, how do they try to be realistic? Yes a realistic SETTING, but not a realistic story. I could make a fantasy story take place in New York City, the setting of New York is realistic but the story ISN'T. People need to realize there is a difference.

Also Gameplay =/= Realistic Setting.

Robert Downey Jr. saying "Guess who bought a jet to a gunfight" made my day.

Yeah; this trailer definitely captures the style of CoD quite nicely... wait... "Zombies... *chk* *chk*... groovy!"

...

If you make awesome trailers like this you deserve some form of support!
Robert Downey Jr. had the best part ever, totally agree. I actually really do like how it all came around at the end too. Guy chillin out that started it all was really just droppin an air strike on someones head. All great fun.

Yeah, reminded me of some other trailer from a game no one seems to recall nowadays...

This is my favorite trailer of a video game ever.

If it wasn't for the community I would consider spending money on it on steam.

While it was entertaining, I can't help feeling like all the actors, particularly the ones I recognize, performed rather poorly. I know they probably don't care much for just a brief ad, but if you've only got one line surely you could at least deliver it with some conviction.

Unless while they could afford the actors, they could only afford to have them for a single take each.

no fucking shit there is a difference, i'm not going to sit here and argue over something that i wasn't trying to argue, and there are tons of instances, if you played the games you would know (the only one I haven't played is world at war), and i'll just cite a couple, as it's that obvious from it being plastered in marketing everywhere.

That trailer actually convinced me that I must buy this game. Multiple times (Well, not that extreme, but I will be picking it up now.)
I was already on the fence, seeing this trailer made me decide to pre-order it.

This was funny and well-done. I'm probably not going to buy the game anytime soon, but I still liked the ad.
