Cool...If this is 100% correct I am pleasently surprised that I know about 90% of the characters unlike MvC2 with its crazy roster. One point I should mention is that Mr Fantastic won't appear in the game. Director Niitsuma said Marvel didn't allow them, quote - "From the Marvel side there were a couple we were considering using, such as some of the Fantastic Four characters, but for various reasons we just couldn't implement them, or they weren't on the right table but Marvel came back and said "why not use this character instead", and we responded "oh, okay that's fine", but unfortunately we couldn't get any of the Fantastic Four into the game."

Capcom's said not to expect a roster as large as MvC2's since they don't have sprites to recycle. Still 30 or so characters is respectable. Plus, they said they might go the Blazblue route and add more characters later as DLC.

NEW NEWS! The new character is a MARVEL character (really?) called Dormammu and it's still unsure whether he's set to be either playable or a boss character. His entrance is rather epic though so I'm thinking 'boss'.

With this coming out, and Mortal Kombat 9 coming out, this year is going to be great for me and my love of fighting games.

Also Yoshinoro Ono (the producer, and mind behind the Street Fighter 4 franchise reboot) is set to announce a new project at Comic Con. I wonder what it will be.
Some may not like SFIV, but I'll be damned if it didn't bring completely revive the fighting game genre.
