Looks like another DLC pack for Mass Effect 2 is on the way. It includes a new outfit for 3 squad members. Thane Krios, Jack, and Garrus Vakarian.

The DLC pack will come out March 23rd for the 360 and PC.

It will be priced at 160 Microsoft points/Bioware points. Which I think is $2.00 USD. Or somewhere in that area.

So, Garrus gets his armor and face (kinda) repaired, Thane gets Sunglasses (Must. Not. Make. CSI Miami joke.), and a slightly altered outfit, and Jack gets some actual clothes.

Just thought I would let everyone know, and for discussion: What do you think about this? Is it good, bad?

I personally think its kind of lame of them to charge money for some different costumes. Then again it isn't that much, but still, when something like the Hammerhead DLC is free, and this costs money, it just seems silly.

And I just can't hold it in anymore:
"Looks like the sunglasses are the bane *puts on sunglasses* of Thane.

[sub]YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH[/sub]

EDIT: Oh, and feel free to make your own CSI Miami jokes.

Paying for fashion? Well, this isn't the first time EA has done it...

Probably won't be getting it. They should introduce a DLC where if you saved wrex in the last game, you can use him in a mission

I... Really like Jack's new costume. It's got more of a "biker" vibe to it. Really would have fitted with my Renegade dude.

I thought that the Cerberus Network was for this.
I mean, what the hell? We get weapons and armor free, but 3 fucking costumes cost points? Did BioWare run out of money or something?

160 MS Points is what? A couple of pounds at the most.

Probably won't be getting it (seems a little too "horse armour"-esque for me and I like the outfits they already have) but it doesn't seem too bad...considering how much ME2 DLC we've had for free.

If there was a way to disable headgear on characters, I might consider this.

I have no idea why they put a VISOR on SuZe.

I think you mean finally Jack gets some clothes and isn't forced to walk around wearing a belt as a top :-O

And is hilariously impractical, to say the least.

I glad that they finally fixed Garrus' armor and face. It just looked silly considering that they could fix both with relative ease. Jack's is a great improvement, but the visor looks a little off, and Thane suit is a big down grade. His eyes already looked like they were sunglasses, and the ridges on the clothing ruin the style.

I'm a bit puzzled at the hostility towards this!

It's 160 points, and NOT essential content, nor is it (as far as I know) 'unlock' content.

You don't HAVE to buy it, and yes, you're getting Hammerhead content free. I'll probably buy it, as I enjoyed the game and would like to contribute to the next game's development. I'll have a bit extra, at a snip of a price. Job done.

I mostly agree. But it is kind of odd that they would charge for this when arguably more valuable DLC is free. Just seems odd.

I think that's the point though, you're getting the 'essential' game content for free, so you're getting the additional gameplay (and come on, building the Hammerhead is a LOT more work than some skins) for nothing, and if you WANT you can have some extra costumes for a little extra cash.

To me, that seems remarkably fair.

I would buy this... if it wasn't for the visors on the characters. Why? So their eyes won't be shot off? It's like a pair of shooting glasses I own; they're resistant to a shotgun blast at 20 feet. Ok, thats great, but what about the rest of their head? Thanes armor looks almost exactly the same, Garrus' is finally fixed, and Jack has some decent clothes. Sure, it's optional, but not only do I WANT more costumes (you know, for the RPG?), I don't want to stare at the same silly impractical outfits my squad currently has.

and again, visors? I hope it's just some early april fools joke, and tomorrow Bioware comes out and says "Lololol april fools, the visors are gone now."
