There's a new trailer:

This is really giving too much of a teen angst vibe for me. "He thinks you're dead. Now he wants to die too. Again". Ok she didn't add "Again" but in this context it's pretty funny. I don't think I'll be seeing this one.

This does seem impressive. Whilst the first one was well directed I thought that the acting ruined the film. But I've never read the book. Anyway, this does seem good.
If you ever read the books make sure that you take a drink anytime they mention how attractive the lead vampire is.

You will be pretty much blind by about halfway through the book and likely dead before you finish the first one.

1-Are we really going to call those giant wolves ****Censored for the betterment of mankind**** werewolves?!

2-Are we really going to call those gain wolves ****Censored for the betterment of mankind***** werewolves?!!!!!!

3-All of the voltaire need haircuts.

4-I enjoyed seeing Edward get his ass kicked in the end.

All in all this looks better than the first movie...I'll probably just watch Underworld instead...(EDIT:I'm talking about the newest trailer/trailer#3)

Wow, I am just suprised there are people on this site that actually liked the books/movie.....
I loved the books. The movie blew ass. Although, the first book was the worst, in my opinion, so maybe the movies will get better along with the next 3 books.

It has Melissa Rosenberg writing (writer/producer of Dexter) but I hate Chris Weitz. To sum up, he wrote and produced American Pie and wrote and directed The Nutty Professor 2. Ugh. That man shouldn't direct anything.

Well I haven't red the books (and I won't thank you very much I'm sticking with The Book of The Fallen). Plus I my language there isn't word for shape-shifters (actualy there is word for shape-shifter but it's realy old and most people don't know it), so they translate it as werewolfs.

I'm a fan of the books but the first film has gave me a passionate hatred of the films, Kristen Stewart or what ever her name is really can't act Bella well. Shes so wooden she could be a tree in th back ground. Gah! Also they only casted one character right in my opinion. I may watch New Moon but chances are i'll complain every second because they don't like to go along with the actual story, bad acting even from Rob Patterson who was good in Harry Potter (another i know lets trash the books film) and effects, what is going on with the werewolves.
I apologise for my rant i just don't like it when silly directers try to make rubbish films or series from a good book.

I can't wait for it to come to DVD, the Twilight riff track was on of the funniest things I saw all year.

Let's hope this is miles better then Twilight.
I watched Twilight with my friend hoping it wouldn't be as bad as everyone said it was, and ohh boy was I proved wrong. The acting is wooden, the film feels empty. Directing wasn't bad though.

No Edward...this film is picking up. :p
Plus the worst CG werewolf EVER.
Maybe he just turns into an abnormally large wolf, not a were-wolf.
To quote wikipedia
"Werewolves, also known as lycanthropes from the Greek ëõêÜíèñùðïò, ëýêïò (wolf) and Üíèñùðïò (human, man), are mythological or folkloric humans with the ability to shift shape into wolves or anthropomorphic wolf-like creatures."
So technically he is still a werewolf. I know more about the lore surrounding the story, but I'm not divulging anything.

EDIT: Well I couldnt have buggered up my OP any more if I had tried, its fixed now.

Is it just me or was the acting kinda awful
It's not just you. I had to stop and giggle at the flatness in Stewart's voice. She always sounds so emotionless that it makes the dialogue so painfully funny. Patterson's no better; he seems to have trouble making facial expressions as Edward, so watching the two of them fills me with pity and amusement.

I'll watch it, but only because it's bound to be the funniest movie of the year.

Actually the 'werewolves' aren't any such thing, it is part of their history (tribe history) which allows them to change into wolf form (not werewolf form, the form of an actual massive wolf) and if history had been different they could have just as easily been owls or foxes or some form of fish. So they are not actually werewolves, just have the ability to shape-shift into wolves.

Do they specifically say they're not werewolves in the books? Because the fact that they change into large wolves doesn't prove anything... "In the old days" werewolves were just people that for one reason or other transformed into wolves from time to time (or stayed a wolf all the time).
