Is Persona 4 going to become the FFVII of the Persona series? Good, but in need of a swift death at this point? Please don't do that Atlus.

It's pretty apparent from Teddy it'll at least be related to 4, which is really sad at this point. I think we're all in agreement. I think it's a shame that P3 doesn't get more love. P3 was the ramp that allowed 4 to flourish. 4 has been done to absolute death by this point.

If we're really getting a Persona 4-2 I honestly won't mind, yeah i'll be hell'a disappointed that it won't be 5. I mean its not like it'll be bad. Atlus tends to make games that are NEVER bad, and I really would admire seeing the P4 cast ONE more time even with the added closure Golden provided.
But if they can release Persona 5 side by side with a maybe Persona 4: Revengeancence that'd be all swell and dandy.
Only thing thats buggin me is how will Arena 2 tie in? Cause that could easily be classified as Persona 4-3 just with more punching.
I hope they back to the old formula somewhat. The life-simulation is done really well, and so are the social links, but the dumming down of the combat and party management (particuarly characters and personae having seperate stats) was not welcome.

What might happen is this: it still takes place in the town of Inaba, but you are a different group of characters. By the mid-way point you'll meet the groups from Persona 3 and 4.
