New Pokémon Title Planned For 2010

I look forward to the dramatic rebirth, though. maybe it'll be a sandbox, I'd kill for a Pokemon sandbox

The one thing I hated about most of the pokémon games was that there were always two pretty much indentical games released at the same time, albeit with a handful of critters only present in one game and not the other. So it's interesting that they are going to be making just one title this time. Unless they are going to somehow subdivide it to increase their sales, maybe adding in Pokémon Rutherfordium which would appeal to the New Zealand and physicist markets out there.

If it's a "stock" Pokemon game there are a couple ways it could go:

1) DS version of Pokemon: Crystal aka MindCrystal or something similar.
Only likely depending on how much of Crystal was imported to HeartGold, SoulSilver.

2) New DS versions of Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald to get them off the Advanced format permenently.

3) Altogether new Pokemon "land" loosely based on another region of Japan and/or Asia.

I'd like to see what a "print" Pokedex would be like at this point, the Pokemon Platnium guide was nearly a phone book.

But dammit, I've already caught 'em all! How much more can I possibly catch, Nintendo?!

I recall crunching the numbers on this, at the (rough) current rate of growth, there will be some 1300+ pokemanz by 2015 (or was it 2025? I forget).

Might need to do the maths again as those memories are a bit shaky. Needless to say, if they continue at their current growth level then there will be many, many, many, many more for you to catch

Is anyone else just not amazed by the constant talk of how amazing the new Pokemon is going to be? ever since Yellow the new version has always just been a few extra bits, some new dialogue lines and a few hundred Pokemon tagged on the end. Make no mistake I will play this one, I'm interested to see where they take the metaphorical embodiment too having already done every element, the idea of spirits, hell even space and time and presumably GOD with Arteus it'll be interesting to see what they can actually use as a metaphor since there seems like there's nothing left . . . here's hoping it still is good.

There is a pokemon MMO in public beta called Pokémon World Online, it's an unofficial one though. But it is free.

Well, they already did colors (Red, Yellow, Blue/Green) pretty stuff (Gold, Silver, Crystal)[yeah, don't know what to call it, would have said metal but crystal isn't a metal.], gems (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald) and jewelry (Diamond, Pearl, Platinum).

Types of wood it is! Pokemon Mahogany for the win! Suck it Pokemon Pine!
