New Pokemon Screenshots - Including Battle System.

Scans of the upcoming CoroCoro magazine have been leaked, and information regarding the upcoming Pokémon Black and White Versions has been revealed.

The scans show vast improvement in graphic quality from the previous generation, with more advanced 3D graphics. The battle scene also appears to have been changed: the whole of the back of the player's Pokémon can be seen as opposed to a small backsprite. A scan of a Pokémon Center is also shown: the mezzanine floor for the Union Room and other link stations is retained from Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. Like all other areas, major graphical improvements have been made to the Pokémon Center and it seems that a Poké Mart has been incorporated into the building. The final scans show an early overworld sprite for a new female player character standing in front of a small house in what is most likely the starting town, in a cave, and on a bridge.

More information will be available when CoroCoro is officially released on April 15.

Fixed your second image for you. Haven't seen it yet, but the first image looks pretty cool. I'm playing through Diamond via emulator at the moment and I grew up with the likes of Red/Blue/Yellow, all the way up to the Sapphire/Ruby/Emerald games. So although I only recently got back into Pokemon I'm definitely looking forward to this. I just wish that a game could be released where battling happens in real-time, just like in the anime (perhaps rendered like the anime too...). Then again, I wish they'd release a Pokemon MMO too, but that's never going to happen (and Nintendo always shuts down any fan attempts to do so too...).

EDIT: Just saw the second image too. That looks amazing, better than any Pokemon game I've seen so far. Diamond's graphics are good, but I am pretty damn psyched now for Black and White .

I'm not sure which pokemon game i would rather get now. Well it will end the same anyways, i'm gonna train my first pokemon for all my battles and thats it. I'll just capture or get other really strong pokemon but the only one who will ever be used is gonna be one of my original three.

Yeah same as. I'm hoping its and actual attacking thing instead of just the little flash animation things. I mean even if its a simple little 2-D animation as long as its improved it'd be awesome. But I feel betrayed. Here I was thinking that "Black" and "White" meant Black and White. Nevermind.

I'm one of those guys who just endlessly replays pokemon over and over. Dont care about new ones being lame, or the games being essentially the same. I'm quite content playing each and everyone of them.

This looks amazing. Actual battles where you see your whole pokemon not just the top of the back of it. Hopefully that means they will actually fight, not just sit on there asses whilst animations whiz around them.
