New PS3 Owner, what game should I absolutely buy next?

gears of war two.

It'd be impressive to play that on a PS3.

But then again, So is playing PS2 games on most of them sadly...

I'd say keep your money for God of War 3, or buy Resistance: FoM.

So, I just today went out to gamestop and picked up the new PS3 Slim, now that the price tag feels right for the content the system gives. I also grabbed LittleBigPlanet: GOTY Edition since I've been drooling over that game since it came out. I'm amazed by it, but its not like I'll only ever play a single game for this thing...so the question is...

Give me ONE game you'd absolutely say I HAVE to buy next, besides LBP. Any Downloadable games count, but try to stick to PS3 exclusives. I've owned a 360 for around 3 years now.

Also, to anyone who hasn't gotten LittleBigPlanet, its amazing. Try it. I might not sleep because of it.

LBP is great. And... GOTY edition? what does that entail? That doesn't exist here.
I'd reccomend Resistance 2, Kane and Lynch, Metal Gear Solid 4 to you as must haves (in tewrms of fun multiplayer games). Folklore is a decent action RPG (if you're into those) and I also quite enjoyed Battlefield: Bad Company, and Haze.

Trine is also on PC, but it looks fairly fun.

I personally liked Prototype. It was like playing as some weird combination of Wolverine, Spawn, and Spider-Man.

Go with Burnout Paradise if you like racers. It will go very far with the $20.

Only 20$ now? Well then, definitely worth it.
Fallout 3 is great, if you don't have it for another system already. I personally would give Infamous a pass.

Fallout 3 for the PS3? That game looks really shitty on the ps3 compared to the xb360 and pc... well... obviously the pc, nothing beats that

Also the expansions haven't been released for the ps3 yet, still microsoft exclusives.


But anyway I would prob choose uncharted and the rachet and clank games. Oh and GTA IV is a must!!! Looks beautiful on the ps3 compared to the xb360 some reason... kinda weird how some games look better on the ps3 and other times they don't.

Infamous is a pretty fun game, but some of the missions can be frustrating and I would also recommend oblivion if you do not all ready have it from something else, I find it rather immersive

Get MGS4, really. Even if you didnt play other games in the series, even if you heard that its a movie, not a game, It's incredible experience that every Ps3 owner should experience.
