Cleverly, despite what you may think, not everyone here in England reads OK Magazine. Most of the people I know couldn't give two hoots about who Wayne Rooney is shagging. Again, don't mistake what the British Press publishes for what the population actually thinks.
i just grabbed 2 semi-famous brits i know and even added a bit of geekiness to it with billie

as for taking the piss out of one another, it's a sport with the brits, scotch and those other 2 groups that try to form words in english but fail miserably, i hang around enough that i've learned just to say "what could you say that in english please?"

i do find british humour to be a bit more clever tho, sometimes more idiotic but still civilized, heck even british swearing sounds nice

I like their Rail systems and cars.
You just try living with the bloody things. When its good its ok, provided you dont mind being sardine-canned during peak times and having the smell of piss and other less than savory smells if you're near the toilet. And when its bad, its shockingly poor. Leaves on the line? Amount of times trains have been late because of leaves. Leaves, dammit!

Watch QI, Mock the Week and Have I Got News for You for the best in English Comedy.
(What American Show would have Bill Clinton as Guest Host?)

But please god don't 'port any more British Shows to their American Versions. Red Dwarf(USA), The Office(US), The IT Crowd(US) simply don't work.

Distraction is very English and is over in the States.

And Spike(Buffy) always used to throw as much British swearing in as he could.

It's such a diverse country
The best thing about the UK. The most racially tolerant country in the world and for that one fact I am proud to be part of this island.
