Space hulk is back, as a limited release costing about 60 pounds in the UK. Personally, I'm really excited, I never had Space Hulk, I had to play it at a friend's house.

Your thoughts/speculation?

blimey, isn't this exactly the same as 40k but limiting the characters to terminators and genestealers?

Is this a 40k expansion or something? Because those look a lot like the Space Marines

It's a board game involving squad combat in the cramped interior of a derelict spaceship, think aliens mixed with 40k.

It's a board game that's basically Space Marines in Terminator armour against Genestealers, I've never played it, but I've heard it's praises sung.

Is this in any way affiliated with 40k? because those guys look very much like:

...so its 40k KILLTEAM with just terminators and genestealers with restricted scenery?

This is the space marine armour you can get lost in that Yhatzee hates. And i have to agree. I you are going to wrap yourself in that much Gundanium you might as well just drive a friggin tank.

Terminators are Space Marines. So yes, they are a direct part of the 40k universe.

Space Hulk is basically the origin of 40k.

Anyway, not interested, since I no longer play Warhammer 40k or Space Hulk.

Still a classic though.

Ah the inner nerd part of me has just died, the game rocked socks harder than a burning tumble dryer.

And now that its back I intend to get some playtime. But i'm not raking out cash like that, i'll just use the board set up at my local GW.

It's amazing to see how people will quote and laugh about Yahtzee's Space Marine rants without apparently being able to identify 40k when they see it. Just sad.

Tanks can't punch. Or search through derelict spaceships.

Warhammer 40K started with Rogue Trader [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogue_Trader_%28Warhammer_40,000%29]. Space Hulk was focused on one aspect of the 40K universe, in a similar manner to Necromunda, Gorka Morka and other stand-alones.

To this day, Necromunda is still my single favourite tabletop game.
