I don't like the look of all the characters, but the witty banter is welcome.
YES! The biggest thing the other Spiderman movies really lacked was witty banter. Spiderman has a mouth on him to rival Deadpool, he should be spouting crap the whole way through the movie, not monologuing his woes.

And there's just something about the cinematography in the non-action scenes that strikes me as odd. Sort of tv-drama ish. I don't really know.
I also got that, it just felt a bit... off. No one seemed to really believe the things they were saying, it was all quite forced. Hopefully it's just the cut/paste trailer making it seem that way.

Also: I'd really like to know if they're going with Peter making his own web shooters like in the comics or not.
I'm pretty sure he makes his own, that's the device he turns on at 1:20 in the trailer. So yay to that!

I'm not sure I like Spidey's voice either, but that might just be because I'm used to Toby McGuire.
Unfortunately I have to agree with you again, Toby looked and sounded perfect to play spiderman, although character wise he was quite bad (total lack of humour) Again, hopefully it won't be too jarring a transition when it comes out, as Spiderman 3 wasn't that long ago.

Still, I really have to give this an aprehensive thumbs up. PLEASE DON'T SCREW THIS UP GUYS!

I want this movie to tank. Not out of spite because of the fallout from the older movies, but because I want Marvel Studios to take the rights back to the character, so they can add him to the Avengers.

Well it's about time!

As for the trailer, it's certainly called Amazing for a reason and horay for the scientific reason behind the spider web instead of that cop out "organic" spider web.

So Gwen father (I forgot his name) is the new J. Jonah Jameson as in viewing Spiderman as a vigilante except he actually does something about it than to twist Spiderman action as a villainy deeds in the press.

The only thing I dislike is just his eye/ visor thing and the black web patterns look small.
TBH, I've always preferred the organic web idea, because you can't really have a decent scientific explanation for getting several kilometers of web out of a tiny cartridge attached to your wrist. You try to explain it and it just sounds goofy, whereas if the web comes from his body like an actual spider the movie can just say "Look, he has Spider DNA, roll with it." and all is well.

But yeah, apart from that and some dodgy shaky-cam in a few places this looks pretty cool.

"If you want the truth, Peter. Come and get it."

Maybe I'm just being dense, but who is saying that? At first I thought it was The Lizard, but it sounds more British than when he speaks earlier in the trailer.
I'm pretty sure it is him yeah.

Excited Toombs is excite. I don't really like the look of the actor for spiderman and would prefer the girl I presume is MJ to be a redhead, but c'est la vie. It looks like it'll be quite the interesting ride.

Peter has webslingers in this movie, you can see him testing one in the trailer.
Ah, thanks.
Thinking back, I remember seeing the shot you're talking about, but for some reason the information contained within just passed right through my brain.
I'm sure a lot of comicbook fans are filled with glee over the inclusion of the webslingers, but I never much cared for them and I thought it was a good decision that the previous movies just ignored the damn things.

You can be sure that there'll be "that moment" in the movie where Peter finds himself on the losing end because he's run out of webcartridges. The 90's cartoon show had one of these scenes at least once every episode, and I always thought it was a cheap way to create tension.
I also never cared for them....looks like I gotta reload....

On the same boat as you, the trailer looks awesome and I am excited for sure. But then again I would love to have Spidey on the team.

But think again even if they get the rights back they would need to reboot it AGAIN.

Not necessarily. If Andrew Garfield turns out to be a good Spidey, there'd be nothing stopping Marvel Studios from using him again if they got the rights back.

This trailer looks great. Spider-Man has been my favorite comic book character for ever, and I enjoyed the first three movies, despite how they dropped the ball on the third one. This new one looks to be even better than they were. I think it'll be interesting to see how it fares against The Dark Knight Rises.

One can always hope that they will stay classy enough not to exploit the "out of web" twist though.
I say they're allowed to do at least one, seeing as how that little mechanic would be new to movie going audiences.

Ooo, this looks kick ass. :3 I just hope they don't mess up characterizations like Raimi did...*coughcough*Sandman*coughcough* Although Bruce Campbell would've made an awesome Mysterio...

Anyhoo, I'm excited to see the Lizard! Maybe we'll see the Kingpin, Adrian Toombs or Scorpion in a newer one.

Then again, even with the organic web, the last set of movies couldn't stay away from Peter's ejaculatory failure.
I dunno, I reckon they could include it at least once in the early stages of the movie and have it make sense. Say for example, he's out on his first "official" run as Spider-Man and he cocks up with the web shooters and he's still new at the whole thing.

Kinda like how Tobey had to try a couple of tries before he got his web shooting properly in the first movie.

AND THAT IS WHAT I'VE ALWAYS BEEN SAYING!

Emma Stone + Andrew Garfield + Marc Webb + Martin Sheen is a formula for awesome.

Plus Spidey's actually sarcastic instead of campy! Hurrah!
(Granted, I liked Raimi's Spiderman, just not the third one...)

...Batman isn't IN the Avengers though...
The Avengers is Marvel property. Batman is DC.

Well, since none of the Spidey movies have been bad yet, I'm not exactly shocked. But it does look good. i also like that it doesn't take itself too seriously. And Martin Sheen is the shit.
Really? "None of the Spidey movies have been bad yet"? Even after this atrocity?
