I thought it was pretty good as teaser trailers go. Lack of ubiquitous lens flair. Nice callback with Luke's speech. Particularly impressive was the opening pan across the desert planet with the crashed Star Destroyer and X-Wing in the foreground. Tells a visual story...evoking the conflict of the previous three films without needing to dump agonizing exposition on the audience (something Lucas became particularly inept at in his latter years). Most impressive was the slight judder added to the shot, mimicking steadicam and helping to obfuscate the CGI by making it feel more "natural". That's thoughtful film-making, and it's something that has been missing from Star Wars for decades.
Ultimately movie quality will depend on script, and unfortunately Han Solo looked a lot more like old Harrison Ford than Han Solo, but you can't have everything. Judging by the delighted fan reaction across the internet alone, I think summoning Han, Luke, Leia et all back for this film was a savvy move, I just hope they're bright enough to keep their activities to a dull roar and let the younger cast take over/establish themselves as the new heroes. We don't need another Kingdom of the Crystal Skull fiasco where we watch geriatrics blundering around in a jungle for an hour.
