Looks quite good. Plenty of bugs and it seems much more heavy than the old one. But it's a Beta so it will most likely change during the following months.

But...WE FINALLY HAVE A CLOCK!!!! In the Steam Overlay there is a clock function! It also tracks REAL TIME! how long you been playing.

It's real. And it suuuuuuuucks.
You think so?

I like it.

It looks sexy, but is the same in essence; normally these things change the location of everything, and make things unnecessarily complicated. Added functionalities like the ability to categorise games is nice.

I know people are having a few problems, but for a beta it's surprisingly solid.

I had 5 minutes where it wouldn't sign me in, but that was just a momentary glitch.

All-in-all, I'm very impressed.

My only complaint so far would be that in the chat boxes for friends, the text seems slightly blurred.

Just got it installed, liking it so far, I guess. I'll wait for it to develop on me before I really give an opinion/change to the old one.

Looks fantastic. The store looks great. I', glad the y made the buttons for the $10/$5 games more prominent, as I'm a cheapskate. I love that achievements and hours played are displayed when you click on a game, and the image background personalized for each game is a nice touch.

It sucks ass.It is also slow and constantly freezes. Plus it deleted my modern warfare and I'll have to download 11 gigs now...

Also a friend of mine got his friends list wiped and letters wont display on his screen.

I disliked the original steam (everything about it, not limited to the UI). With the new UI, it certainly looks better, though I'd like them to take a few pages out of impulses book (how's about we let them downloads hit 100% before we start changing necessary game files, eh).

It's a lot more jazzy and overall it is better looking than the old one.

But at the mo for me at least it's a little slugish, and I'm still getting used to the new layout, but as has been previously said it's still at beta so it can only improve.

Maybe your computer cant handle it? I mean my computer is something that came out of a god forsaken landfill with low low low budget and cheap hardware and I never have any slowing or freezing (except one freeze, just made me update the client).

Also, if it was MW2 that was deleted, just save yourself the trouble and dont re-download it.

My PC is pretty decent and it can run every newest game with no slow downs so I assume that steam is just buggy and horribly optimized.

As for MW2... Yeah I thought about that too, haven't played for at least a week or two anyways...

My feelings? pointless... people who like the old look will be dissapointed, those who didn't would think meh. Basically a new skin.

I bloody love it. Especially the new in-game browser, clock and news.

apart from the major bugs its muh more user friendly and i loved it from the first second so hopefully they keep this because it just "looks" more up to speed on modern day compared to the old one
