I really don't see the comparison. Yeah, it's a sidescrolling platformer, but Mario was doing that long before LBP. It's multiplayer I guess, but I don't think it has the level creation stuff that Little Big Planet has. I don't think Nintendo is copying anyone on this one.
Yes, it is LittleBigPlanet... Except you know without the level creator, originality, or charm of LBP.
What gibberish is this about? Guessing it's a game announced at E3 etc. and Nintendo I'm shocked, SHOCKED. That it took you this long to make a 4-player side scrolling platform Mario game.
When are people going to stop complaining about games that are similar to each other and calling them copies? Yes, copies exist out there (GTA and Saints Row) but people need to understand that of course everything is similar to something else. Game creators get their inspiration from other games as well from books, movies, tv, history, and real life experience. Everything is inspired by something whether you realize it or not. Get over it and go have fun playing a game.

It's easier to make the argument the other way around, since Mario Bros. has been around, in essence, much longer. However, I don't see the comparison either way. Little Big Planet is a highly customizable game with some fun platforming mechanics. Super Mario Bros. is heavily focused on platformer, specifically 2D platforming, and the only similarity between the two franchises is that they now both have four-player co-op platforming.Drakulla said:
