New TF2 Items!

Allow me to explain, As some of you may know from valves blog, Valve have recently in the works of adding some user generated content into the game, here's said Blog post:

Now, as i normaly do i booted up my PC too play some TF2, got into a match of payload, and got one of said content, while i diden't get a screenshot of it, i CAN give you the next best thing, a link to my backpack at TF2 Backpakc examiner:

Seriously, is this not awsome, anyway, my question to you escapist's, is have you gotten any of these new items?

I'm sorry, i can't answer that question, i gave as much information as i knew.

EDIT: Probably any real modding site, i don't useually visit them, so i wouden't know.

These are actual items, i'm assumeing most of them will have actual stats similar to the Choclate Bar i earned.

Also, are you refering to the Sledghammer? I don't recall seeing a Jackhammer in there...

He is refering to the Scout's Scattergun. You can see that theres no special weapon in the slot, so it must be a skin.

Thank you for that vid. I had no idea what all the new items were. Also I think this is the only update I'm not happy about, I won't rant but in brief
1: Valve's given up on preserving the look of the game (weird green thing on the pyros head)
2: We're being flooded with yet more unlockables which will have to be balanced in context with every other shonky unlock.

Given up on preserving the look? To me, it looks more like foreshadowing! Hint hint: Pyro is probably a classic 60s alien.

My guess with as little authority as it may have, is that what weapons Sir Kemper has not obtained yet, he has extracted the model and texture files from inside the game GCFs and renamed them, making them into reskins. Thereby some of them may just be weapons we've always known, that just look like the newest stuff.

Speculation on my part.
Regardless, it all looks very fun and exciting.
But all it does is increase my anticipation for the Engineer update as more inventive methods of making him obsolete arise..

No that would be preserving the historic, cultural aspects of the 60's. I mean the kitschy, spy film-esque nature of the game. TF2 used to look like a movie from the 60's, now it looks like a pastiche of everything that happened to be made around that time. A medigun would look perfectly fine in an armory next to the shotguns and pistols, right up until it shoots health at your face. TF2 was stylised, normality with a few bits of awesome thrown in. Some of these are more like gimmicks now in my opinion.
