New Vegas Legion ending (SPOILERS)

Mostly i'm annoyed that they hyped that NCR Ranger armour so much on the box art and in the traliers and then you only see them at the very end and don't even get to properly use their cool armour!

There's a NCR Camp Alpha (Or Delta?) way above the Dam that has 2 Ranger Armor guards that are a pain to kill but hey, it's worth getting it early.

I only just discovered it a few hours ago.

A patch fixed that. you get the armor WITH the NCR ranger house.

You want a good ending. Keep Caesar alive.....honestly so much good comes from it! LOOK IT UP OR PLAY! And yeah level up if you want oliver to live...but hey killing him made me feel like i brought justice.

We argued before. I said the legion were nothing more than tribal savages with a pipe dream that will never last. They stifle actual progress for their short term progress. Since Caesar ain't gonna be around for very much longer, his dream will be just that -a dream-. It wont be long before the nature of man turns Caesar's legion into something worse if that's even possible. The same goes with Mr. House.

But even the developers say that ncr is spread so thin. And the Legion will survive if the Courier, Vulpes, or Lucius gain Leadership of it.

They were spread thin in NEVADA. It was an unpopular war that has little support back in California. In California the police officers are heavily armed, their cities well protected, and laws are policed there. Nevada isn't NCR territory, its savage land in the PROCESS of being civilized. Think of the old west, where civilization was unheard of.

Oh yeah I hated that part especially because I was a melee character and had to kill them all with a rebar club by myself. I killed them all though, ha ha ha.

A game should at least have some challenge to it
NCR rangers are meant to be the best of the best, plus it wouldn't really be a end of game boss fight if they just sorta walked around confused while you killed the general

I was NCR and had a ***** of a time with the Centurions. AM Rifle usually deals with them, but not when there's twelve.

Also, I had 100 Speech. I had figured something like that would show up, such as convincing Lanius.

Oh really? Because the set lore states they can't protect the citizens because they expanded so fast without thought due to Kimball, not because of the governmental system. Even then their weakened state is due to the stalemate with Caesar's legion while Mr. House is draining their economy. The NCR's highest concentration is in California, and its shown they are pretty well secured. Baja, Oregon, and Nevada are technically NCR states and yes they are lawless, but fast expansion doesn't really allow for cementing your position now does it? America is a land grab, and Caesar's legion did the same thing as NCR.

However, if you truly think that the legate wouldn't take over then you are mistaken. You see the legate gets the title of leader after Caesar dies regardless. This would mean not only does the legion become corrupt, but the legate attacks everyone regardless of losses. The legate even goes after the enclave if he learns of their existence, a strategy dismissed by Caesar because he knew he would lose. This means the legion would start wars it can't finish because Lanius only knows war. Marcus's description of the legion is accurate as the nature of man will destroy the legion from the inside out. The legion is just as susceptible to corruption as NCR, if not more so. The "its based on Rome" theory doesn't work because Rome took approx. 870 years to be built. The amount of time it takes for a nation to fall is the same as the amount of time it took for the nation to rise. Caesar brought the legion to the height of its power, and when he dies it will all go to hell.

Yes but Caesar's death (if you were to let it happen ingame) was a crisis they had little time to actually choose a leader so they foolishly choose Lanius who does not care for the Legion. And democracy that the ncr choose took a thousand years to build. The whole time based thing doesnt work here.

What do you mean? Caesar is still alive in New Vegas. I am saying that after Caesar's death, the Legion is doomed to revert to a raider clan, or even a tribe. As i said, History has proven this time and time again. Its even been published in Historical papers. Caesar tries to change human nature, when human nature is changing the Legion. The tragic part is Caesar doesn't even realize it.

Basically the equation goes like this:

Time it takes to reach the peak of its power = time it takes to completely fall from grace after its peak. It only begins the countdown when the one responsible for the golden age either dies or leaves the position of power. Case in point, Bill Clinton.

But he has Vulpes and Lucius....two very intelligent people with extreme Roman Values or the Courier. Marcus even said give it centuries then it will fall

One word...mods.

Use mods if your a pc gamer and bam you opened up your world and made the game that much better. Hell because of mods I still havent finished the game yet and am enjoying this freedom I have. I mean now I get to rule the world without ending the game...how epic is that?
