In case you somehow missed the title: SPOILERS.

Well, after the infuriatingly buggy final few hours of New Vegas I decided to let off some steam by loading an earlier save, taking a boat to Caesar's camp with an LMG full of AP rounds and unleash holy hell on anything that moved...

And by god was it fun!

I was surprised how easy it was to take down the entire army, including Caesar himself, with just a few chems, an LMG and my pooch. (and more surprised how it in no way affected the story...)

Anyway, where have you gone on rampages in NV and what was your weapon of choice?

Or what do you do to blow off steam when the bugs/loading times/whatever get to you?

i actually haven't had any bugs or problems, and this is extremely suprising, usually i get all and every bug that is known to man and machine possible for pc games.

however, i didn't realize boone would attack on sight...and i teleported to the fort and all hell broke loose.

me: was siding with ncr
level: 16
armor : metal armor reinforced
weapon of choice: boone

that son of a ***** killed near everyone before i could even take a shot off at them. god damn i was racking up experience and loot like no other though and it was massive amounts of fun

At some point I was so pissed of by some stupid quests path that I couldn't finish (like Achymed gun) or go further in them that I would just save and start radomly slaying closest occupied place.

yeah Ceasars camp was a joke. I was invited there, so could peacefully go into the undeground fort, but that guy at gates asked to give hem all my weapon and platinum chip, chip! I didn't went all that path just to give one of the preciest items in a game to some legion scum!
I was using minigun, rocket luncher and my favorite Cowboy Repeater to put them out of their missery. ohh and used one arhimed gun, cause I had two of these beauties )))

Next stop would be masacring Prim or that first city and jail. But I had enought of that game.

Does Fallout 3 count?

I took Fort Independence with the Fat man, mines, grenades and the minigun, but there was a turret gun that was invincible for some reason. SPehs MareEns don't belong in bunkers.

Can't wait to play Vegas.
I'd suggest waiting for the patch if bugs annoy you, the bugs in New Vegas are LEGENDARY. I tried to fast-travel somewhere and ended up 200 feet above it in the sky. When I landed on the ground it sounded like I had just cannonballed into a body of water. Some of the bugs are hilarious, other times not so much, I've had a lot of crashes.

I killed the entire Brotherhood of Steel with my Super Sledge and Pulse Gun. Took me a lot longer to haul all their stuff out then to kill them all.

Twice.
First was in the thorn i just got pissed off at red lucy's whole "I serve the thorn" sh*t, as if it's some kind of god. So i pulled out my bumper sword and off with her head a i then went on to kill all her guards and spectators.
The second was in the brotherhood bunker i got pissed off at their whole condescending attitude and attacked them with my trusty bumper sword. unfortunately i forgot that i was on my hardcore save and got demolished by the second paladin.
i suppose i should work on my people skills

I loved marching through the Powder Ganger's HQ with a Cowboy Repeater loaded with hollow-points.

Besides that I used to love (in Fallout 3) having a loaded Fat Man and killing every lowlife slaver in Paradise Falls with mushroom clouds.

Fundamental issue of the game are quests itself. It's like when you get quest, solution to it is already explained, it basically kills the half of the fun from game. Imagine that in Hitman series you would be given and explained all possible way how you could assasinate your target, during briefing before mission + you would just choose what path you want to take and then just follow it, it would suck... Most of the quests in New Vegas are exactly like this. I remember visiting new town i've neve been to, but after first conversation with a a townfolk and explicit explanation of quest details that I need to do for him I really wanted to just smash his head and forget that this town even exist.
I've got much more fun by not taking more quests and just visiting random locations after getting explorer perk.

The Missile Launcher in combination with maxed explosives, additional damage perk, and increase blast radius pretty much annihilates anything. Especially since missiles are far more abundant, meaning I can use them on anything I want. So whenever I decided to go on a temporary rampage, I just blow shit up with the Missile Launcher. The biggest danger to me when I'm doing that is myself actually, since the blast radius is huge.

I would say Euclid's C-finder, but it's a buggy piece of crap. Half the time the gun doesn't actually fire. Or it doesn't fire, then randomly fires later on when I'm not expecting it, causing me to kill myself with it.

As I end up having hundreds of saves in these games, I don't think it would bother me too much. I love hilarious bugs when it's a good game otherwise.
As the bugs in NV include one that permanently and fatally corrupts every save file you have, along with a memory leak that makes you get loading times of up to a minute and a half every time you go through a door or fast travel, which are even longer when you have a lot of save files, I'd say you still might get annoyed by it :D

I used my suave charm, and my skill at spinning a yarn, to get past the guard at Vault 3. Got all the way down to Motor-runner before attacking anyone, and fought my way out.

Good times.

I did something like that in Red Dead Redemption. After completing the final mission I massacred Blackwater with lots of dynamite, fire bottles and my trusty Winchester.

After completeing a lot of the quests for the NCR *spoilers ahead*

I found I had to kill the brother hoood, so I did the quest so my favorite companion Veronica was free of them, then I destroyed the brother hood... She said she didn't love me anymore, she broke my heart, so I pulse guned her

KINDA HARD TO SUPER PUNCH ME WHEN YOU CAN'T MOVE HUH????

Other than that the bugs I get are too dabilitating for me to ramage about, I ususally end up deleteing my saves, wiping the game from my hard drive then trying agian =/

*EDIT*

Holy hand gernades on final misson when you are wild carding it is glorious!!
