New Vegas - RAMPAGE!!! (minor spoilers, kind of)

I used my suave charm, and my skill at spinning a yarn, to get past the guard at Vault 3. Got all the way down to Motor-runner before attacking anyone, and fought my way out.

Good times.

And then I got his stupid helmet stuck in my inventory for all infinity because it was part of some quest I probably failed.

And I bet you sometimes didn't steal supplies if you liked the character who owned it like too! I just couldn't bring myself to nick all Doc Mitchell's stuff.

I can't believe how many people kill Doc Mitchell! He is such a friendly doctor.

I totally robbed the pants off of the Van Graffs. Didn't feel bad about it for a moment. But yeah, I don't steal from people I like. And, I often sell them my better stuff. Confession time... I sell my extra meds to docs, because, you know, they need them.

I have a million of those little rockets in my inventory for all time. I found them before the quest, and they only took a few. And I can't drop them to display them in my room. I was so bummed by that.

I realized I packed too much spoilers in one post.

Well, here we go:

As soon as I got to that powder ganger jail, killed all.
I killed pretty much all scum, except when it's clear I'm gonna lose... one spot was in the city crucified and burned by Legion. Was a small level then. And then that raider vault. Pretty much relied on a hit&run tactic the whole game.

As soon as I got to House, I just had to know, if he's a human, so I rushed down and was amazed at not being lied to.
So, next, I stole Benny's gun, and sneak-head-shot him with it.
Then I killed off some family bosses at Strip.
Then I killed the idiot at Helios One.
Then I got fed up with bullshit and killed that guy from Kings.
Then I went to the Caesars and killed them all (it was silly how House was explaining the absolute 2+2=4 certainty of guns been taken from me and Caesar given me the chip).
I was accepted at the Brotherhood, when had to go in and activate the self destruction.
Then I had to kill through some NCR at that dam fight and give the happy general some bad news.

I was really saddened, when it turned out you can't kill Legion kids.

In case you somehow missed the title: SPOILERS.

Well, after the infuriatingly buggy final few hours of New Vegas I decided to let off some steam by loading an earlier save, taking a boat to Caesar's camp with an LMG full of AP rounds and unleash holy hell on anything that moved...

And by god was it fun!

I was surprised how easy it was to take down the entire army, including Caesar himself, with my just a few chems, an LMG and my pooch. (and more surprised how it in no way affected the story...)

Anyway, where have you gone on rampages in NV and what was your weapon of choice?

Or what do you do to blow off steam when the bugs/loading times/whatever get to you?

I did the same thing but I was level 14 with a silenced sniper a incineration and Boone but if I could to it again I would use and orbital laser (I actually have the remote for it yay).

The Missile Launcher

How's an explosives playthrough in general actually?

Was thinking of doing one but they seem to pretty sparse.

I don't think you can do a playthrough only using explosives, since they are quite limited. At the beginning of the game dynamite is quite abundant due to powdergangers, but later on they are very limited. Frag grenades are pretty rare and for some reason merchants rarely carry them. This makes it much harder to use explosives as anything but an occasional side weapon.

However, the fact that the missile launcher and fat man (I think) are now explosives gives the skill a nice boost. Like I said, the missile launcher is incredibly powerful. A single missile can clear entire rooms with ease. And unlike frag grenades, missiles are actually easy to acquire. The Gun Runners sell a large amount of them. Last time I checked, they had over 40 in the store. So you can actually spam missiles quite often. Though I wasn't able to acquire a missile launcher for quite some time. No merchants ever seemed to carry them, and no enemies had them either. I've only seen one, and it was being carried by a Boomer. Of course I killed him in cold blood to get it. Come to think of it, if they have a merchant he would probably sell a lot of explosives. I never checked, on account of pissing them off the acquire the aforementioned rocket launcher.

So yeah, explosives is a bit of a mixed bag mainly due to the lack of frag grenades later in the game. I think missiles make up for it though.

The Gamorah (can't remember how to spell it sorry) casino. I went in there with ED-E and Boone and we tore that place apart. "Let's rock" were the last words that door guy ever heard before I blew off his head with a shotgun then methodically worked my way through the whole building, back out onto the strip, ripped apart the security bots and took my rage out on all the nearby NCR folks. It was awesome.

Yes, they are one of the things you can use to solve an objective in Come Fly with Me. There other ways to do it thought. I was pretty disappointed that you couldn't decorate your room with them as well. There are tons of them, and you only need 1 for the quest.

By the way did anyone find the Unique Auto-Grenade Launcher 'Mercy'?

It's a nice reference to a certain gun from Fallout 3!

New Vegas this isn't but when I get frustrated I boot up San Andreas and go on an old fashion massacre with the Hunter and the Hydro...Body count in the multi hundreds. That aside I can always boot up RDR and massacre everyone or sign in a guest an assasinate the blank shell in a million different ways in Reach

oh hell i do it every time i walk in there, amazing they not run out of guys yet....also if you do houses missions it is pretty hilarious when he explains he had a mission for you there but....

always blow the hell up out of ceasars camp, well guns explosives hold out pistols and brass knuckles, whatever way i choose to go about it, getting disarmed and your meds taken away and trucked off to ceasars is definately the hardest but most fun way to do it since you get to talk to him and he is such a smug little prick.

cnrs military camp, i have a habit of landmining the scientists office after i get back from the vault and tell him we blew up the data, well you can get away with it if you hide inside and noone see you when it goes off, but i went outside and came back in and second i entered it went off blowing him in half in glorious slow motion, but then all the guards opened up and hell i just ran with went outside and killed off everyone in the courtyard camp, then i decided i did not want that big a hit with cnr and reloaded my earlier save and landmined the guy wo getting caught and no rep hit .

Well, I am out of ideas in that case. If you simply went straight from Goodsprings to Primm I'm not sure why they would hate you. I can't think of anything you could have possibly done to cause that. Sorry =/
