New Vegas - RAMPAGE!!! (minor spoilers, kind of)

After beating the game, I loaded the save just prior to starting the ending quest.

I dismissed my party, changed into a lightweight suit of armor, grabbed my sniper rifle and a pile of AP ammo and went on a quest to destroy any concentration of any of the factions I knew about, just to see what would happen.

So, I killed everyone on the strip, everyone in the casinos, everyone in the major NCR camps, both major legion camps and the powder gangers. Rather than having my repuation slip to vilified with the people who liked me, it was instead set to wild child as they no longer had a clue how I was going to respond to them. Oddly enough, it didn't result in anyone trying to kill me that didn't already hate me.

going against Caesar and his legion was pretty fun with rex boone and a riot shotgun, after i killed everyone i took a seat on his throne. felt good.

I had a bunch of dynamite and ran into Vegas, chucking it into the sky.
I died in seconds due to the upgraded robots.

I slaughtered everybody (everybody) in the Brotherhood of Steel bunker. I came there on a mission of diplomacy, and they stripped me naked, put a bomb collar on me and told me to get rid of someone from a faction I bear no ill will against. The solution - reload an earlier save, and let no one live. I made a fortune on the armors and such, and the gauss rifles are pretty badass!

Slowpoke here, just started New Vegas, walked to Primm and bam, instantly hated by NCR, they attack me for no reason, what gives?

Sounds like a bug to me.

Did you by any chance attack the Quarry Workers up the road from them in Sloane? That would make them hate you.

If not, I recommend starting over, you do not want the NCR pissed at you this early in the game!

How's an explosives playthrough in general actually?

Was thinking of doing one but they seem to pretty sparse.

Much better than before, since you get the Grenade Rifle and Grenade Machinegun (and the unique versions) for general use weapons. You will have to rely more on vendors for your ammo, so I wouldn't advise it for your first playthrough, but it should be doable.

Got annoyed with the legion and wiped out nelson before the ncr mission there.

My favourite weapon for assassination has to be the Gobi Scout Rifle for range but up close it's gotta be the Cowboy Repeater with JNR hand-load ammo.

Boone saves my ass faaaaar to often, i think i would have quit ths game if it weren't for him.

Me too but it's starting to get annoying. How the hell am I supposed to get Lord Death of Murder Mountain if he keeps STEALING ALL OF MY KILLS!!

Trick to that is to either leave him somewhere safe or shoot before he does lol.

But he is a damn effective murder machine, especially when you give him a caravan shotgun or a super sledge.

Well, I am out of ideas in that case. If you simply went straight from Goodsprings to Primm I'm not sure why they would hate you. I can't think of anything you could have possibly done to cause that. Sorry =/

Turns out if you walk on the wrong side of the highway, the powder ganger attacks you on the roller coaster, then the NCR hates you : /

I simply came in on the west side this time, got into Primm, got the sheriffs duster and sheriffs hat in Primm and went to town I'm loving the iron sights in this game.

They are, but they give you way more than you need. Thankfully, they weigh nothing.

Also, you have to try the Black Widow perk before you go confront Benny in Ring a Ding. Oh my god, I laughed so freaking hard! I don't know if the encounter is similar at all if you don't have the Black Widow perk, but that one confrontation made the whole perk worth it for me.

well apart from the fact that I obviously did, the spoiler could have been about ANYTHING, it was an interesting thread so I clicked it, but it is also other people. Good job it was only a spoiler about the fact that one of the main factions in the game actually have a camp :O shocking.

The spoiler boxes are there might as well use them...

I don't have much fantastic rampage gear yet so the last one I did in FNV was immolating the remaining inhabitants of the correctional facility.
I'll probably try something in freeside soon.

I loved to do that in Fallout 3. In fact I don't think I even have a save where the Capitol building was cleared out. That was usually my go to spot: a nice juicy battle out front and a Behemoth at the core.

Are there any Behemoths in this one. I get the feeling there aren't. Why not? They were fun. Especially when you could get them to kill lots of others for you.

It's not them attacking you, it's some gangsters in the town.

I thought the exact same until I started shooting back and read who my VATS were aiming at.

Yeah, I busted into Caesar's Camp barbarian style with the "Oh Baby!" [http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Oh_Baby!] and wiped them all out. It took me a few tries to get everyone in the actual tent because they all swarm you with Ballistic Fists, but I finally was able to take out the two closest guards to the entrance and then everyone else just ran right into my swings of instant death.

I love that my favorite weapon in the game was found in Charleston Cave (I live in Charleston, SC).

Nope. The mutants in New Vegas have a bit more depth behind them, and are a bit more... human.
