Looks at least as good as the last one. I especially love that ?You?ll be an armless," line, that's the kind of horrifically cheesy dead baby humor one who knows Venom would expect out of him.
Thanks for that, I literally could not understand what the hell it was Brock said there. Comic book movie mumble syndrome strikes again!Xprimentyl said:"Woah... I have a parasite. Yeah. Night, Mrs. Chen." XD XD XD
Agreed, legitimately took me a few moments to realise that even was the bad guy and not just Venom in slightly different lightingundeadsuitor said:the only thing im not vibing with is the incredibly marvel move to make the main villain just an evil venom
to the point i cant tell the difference between the two at the end
I think that makes him some version of Riot [https://comicvine.gamespot.com/riot/4005-40793/]? And I suspect she's supposed to be Scream [https://comicvine.gamespot.com/scream/4005-21996/]...Though that assumes they're sticking to any kind of canon in the Venom movie that can't talk about Spider-Man. Speaking of whichundeadsuitor said:its literally venom
but slightly blue
at least the female venom character channeling T1000 seems pretty interesting
By ignoring that entirely by the looks of it. Venom's powers seem more goo-related than Spider-related for this, almost like this was supposed to be a Prototype movie instead. Will it work? God only knows but I'm not entirely soldCasual Shinji said:Now someone please explain this to me, but isn't the whole idea behind Venom that it's the symbiote scorned by Peter Parker/Spider-Man merging with Eddie Brock, who equally hates Peter Parker/Spider-Man? Two characters obsessed with their hatred of Spider-Man becoming one force. How is this going to work with the sole purpose for which this character even exists?
This came up in my thread when they first trailer came out. And excuse me if some of my facts are incorrect; I?m sure someone will correct me (that?s what the internet does anyway, right?) Yes, Venom?s origin story is the mutual hatred of Spider-Man/Peter Parker. Once that plot line was resolved (shortly after the whole Carnage debacle wherein they teamed up to fight a greater evil than each other,) Venom spun off as an anti-hero and enjoyed (enjoys?) his own comic and all that jazz.Casual Shinji said:Now someone please explain this to me, but isn't the whole idea behind Venom that it's the symbiote scorned by Peter Parker/Spider-Man merging with Eddie Brock, who equally hates Peter Parker/Spider-Man? And you?ve just explained why I loved Prototype so much.Palindromemordnilap said:By ignoring that entirely by the looks of it. IIRC, the Life Foundation was namedropped in the first trailer. Move director Ruben Fleisher also confirmed at SDCC [https://www.cbr.com/venom-director-confirms-riot-other-villains-sdcc/] that the main antagonist is Riot. The IMDB page [https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1270797/fullcredits?ref_=tt_ql_1] also has Michelle Lee listed as Donna Diego aka Scream. Also says Reid Scott is rumored as Patrick Mulligan aka Toxin.undeadsuitor said:Well, the whole thing does scream Life Foundation (has the trailer dropped that name? it probably will at some point)Palindromemordnilap said:I think that makes him some version of Riot [https://comicvine.gamespot.com/riot/4005-40793/]? I was thinking more Agony than Scream though.
It's just a rumor, probably stemming from the trailer scenes with Reid Scott showing him as a test subject seemingly getting exposed to a symbiote with colors resembling Toxin's.undeadsuitor said:Oh neat! Good to know. I hope we get a full view of Scream then.
Not sure why they would jump to Toxin though, since that requires Carnage, which requires Venom. Unless Mulligan the character is just showing up to establish him before he becomes Toxin in another movie.
Dammit, now I can't stop thinking about "what if they got Mike Patton to do the Venom voice?"Xsjadoblayde said:It also reminds me of The Darkness videogame in this trailer, where I can almost hear "Jackie! What did they do, Jackie? Did they hurt jenny?" And a few other things.
