When will people understand that some things should never be rapped about? Some things just aren't compatible with that particular music style, and pretending that it is just makes it pathetic(er)...
Nerds will be nerds, and they'll never dance in the streets unless there is a zombie walk on, and never do sports unless it involves dressing up as a Klingon and engaging in a rousing game of bowling against a bunch of furries. Well, that and airsoft.

Edit: Forgot that kids watch cartoons...
Now I feel old.

Activating Interlock. Dynatherms connected. Intracels are up...MEGATHRUSTERS ARE -GO-.

LETS GO VOLTRON FORCE!

... I don't have any other comment. I thought it was stupid but not otherwise completly terrible. I'm numb to stupid marketing these days.

A Nickelodeon reproduction of something that used to be good but now looks like crap... now there's a first.

*cough*Power Rangers Samurai*cough*

Never actually watched the original, but giant transforming mechs have always had place near and dear to me.
DRAGON. FUCKING. BALL. FUCKING. Z. FUCKING. KAI. FUCK!!!

If NickToons didn't play Zim and a few other choice shows I miss from my kiddy days, I would gladly lead a violent mob to their doorstep.
I thought Kai was an improvement over the original DBZ in all ways, what with new art and better voice acting for the dub and such?

Region locked for me. Never ever heard of Voltron. After having a look on y-tube I remember the toys from the 80's but had no idear there was a cartoon that went with them. Voltron looks like a bit of a tool to me. I bet Megatron would have kicked the crap out of him.

I tried to think of something worse than this and the only thing that came to mind was the MTV remake of Teen Wolf. In both cases, childhoods are being destroyed.

It's Voltron.

Of course it's gonna suck.

That like being surprised that deserts are hot and dry.
Actually, some deserts are cold and dry. :3

OT: From the way the article talked about it, I figured the commercial was going to be a 90s cartoon. The rap is... barely a rap. It's just a beat with "Let's Voltron" in the background. The dancing (save for the old lady) didn't even bother me much. It was just... eh. *shrug*

I don't watch Nick a lot anymore, so I don't remember the last time they tried a "serious" live-action show. All I can recall that's like this are the Cartoon Network attempts to make live-action shows (abandoning their old motto of ONLY showing cartoons), and they were mostly terrible.

Since Nick rarely plays anything that hadn't grew out of the Amanda Show or lives in a pineapple, I can't imagine Voltron being any good. Then again, this IS Voltron, so I can safely assume it won't be any good.

Sure, if you like the show stopping every five minutes for commercials...

Marketing execs trying too hard to be cool. In other news, the sky is apparently a bluish color.

Also, grass green.

DO NOT CONFUSE THE TWO.

I saw this when watching an Invader Zim rerun and I almost through-up. Also does anyone else have a bad feeling when it mentioned "three new cadets to learn beside the heroes?"

I guess Hollywood will not be happy till they shit all over the childhoods of us born in the late 70's and early 80's.... Sigh, well at least someone posted that Ice cube video which was awesome.

It doesn't seem that bad. Sure, it's light on the actual Voltron content, but this is just some in-between commercials thing, not the intro video to every episode. Not that bad (and the beat is pretty good too).
