Meanwhile

Isaac listenned for a response on his radio. He got nothing but static. He looked up through the hole in the foilage he made. He could still see them blimp up there. He considered sending up a flare, but he decided against it. Stealth was his best chance now.

He tryed the radio one last time, and suddenly a response came through. "This is command. Your orders stand. We will mark the extraction point on you HUD, be their at 1700 hours for extraction, over." the voice said. Isaac sighed. His orders were clear. "Well, better get moving" he said to himself as he tried to decide a direction to head in.

Marcus saw the marines and flew down.
"Be you fanatics?"

Vivaz tilted his head curiously to the side

"Such hostility..." he shook his head, sighing loudly

"And what are a group of angry marines like yourselves doing in this jungle?"

I seem to be a little underpowered, compared to these dragons and blimps. Can i have some cybernetics and implants to balance things out?

They would be systems built subtly into the body of Jon and his deacons that make them faster, stronger, more accurate and hard to kill. Some of them have mechanical limbs that resemble powerfists

Is that ok?

You can have bits of space marine armour from warhammer 40K, ok?

Ok, that sounds good. In that case, the deacons resemble Dark Angle Space Marines though the huge shoulder pads or helmets.

Can jon have implants to the same effect? I'd rather he didn't look like a marine...

Jon stalked through the undergrowth, his deacons close behind. There was magic in the air, and he drew Blood and Fire quietly. Then, he heard a voice to his right. Moving towards it, he found himself in a clearing, facing a squad of marines and a man on a dragon

"Such hostility" the mage said, then continued in a quieter voice that Jon did not hear. he seemed unaware of the Cardinal's presence.

"Our hostility is merely a repulsion for the devilry you use to corrupt nature." he declared, "We hold nothing against you but your sins"

Popsicle was amazed to see the Cardinal in the flesh. "Oh holy father!" he cried "Thank god you have arrived. These mages are suspicious at best." He said, keeping his rifle aimed at Vivaz.

It was at this moment Hornett and walked into the clearing. He saw Powder first. "Hey guys, what just happened and...Holy shit!" he yelled as he saw the rest of the people. Immediatly his pistol was draw (his rifle had flew off his armour when he fell) and aimed at Marcus, who had just flew down into the fight. "So we got quite a party here." he said to nobody in perticular.

Meanwhile

Isaac walked stealthily through the undergrowth. He soon hear talking in the distance. He slowly snuck up to the edge of the clearing, being sure to have a good view of the events unfolding, while being pretty well concealed.

Isaac watched. "Man, this is just gettting bigger and bigger by the moment. Soon somebody will snap." he said to himself, cocking his rifle.

Jon motioned to his Deacons, and those already in view spread out, ready to protect their Cardinal while also making them a harder target. Those not yet in the clearing retreated into bushes.

"Might I suggest," he said with an air of amused sarcasm, "That we introduce ourselves? I am Jonathan Shannow, Cardinal of the Priesthood of the Logical God."

Marcus activated barrier.
"We are not enemies here, I am Marcus Ulison, head of the negotiators."

"Then why do you hide behind your barrier?" the Cardinal demanded, "You speak for peace but cower behind your pseudo-magic as if you expect a conflict."

He raised Blood, and continued "There is no known defence that can withstand a full clip form this gun. If you try anything, I will shoot you down. Now, if you truly intend for peace, land here and deactivate you shields"

Marcus landed in front of Jon, deactivating his barrier.
"This, "Pseudo-Magic" as you call it comes from the very same source that you have around you arms and legs."
Marcus stepped back.
"Science."

Jon nodded, but his face was grim, "True, it sources form purity, but it is still an imitation of the evil corruption of nature that these people call magic" he spat the last word out, "Not all that comes form good is good, sir Negotiator. A light may shine in the darkness, but it may also blind a man forever."

"Maybe so Cardinal, but such hostilities are not wise while on their plane."
Marcus deactivated his jet pack and called in the Peacekeepers

Bot's that weakened negotiators use to get around, usually armed with a form of cybernetic, used to protect a negotiator when doing hostile dealings, basically look like the robots claptraps from Borderlands only bigger with a car like set of wheels.

Tapping his staff on the ground, a comfortable cushioned chair sprang out of the ground, allowing Vivaz to take a seat

"I am Master Vivaz Rawrfl, leader of the Magi. None of you should have anything to fear of me as I am merely an observer in these events"

A goblet of wine appeared in his hand, and he sipped it slowly, a smile on his lips as he eyed all the fractions with his golden eyes

Marcus bowed to Vivaz.
"Greetings great Magi, our peace treaty is still held I trust?"

Vivaz nodded, taking another sip of his wine

"Of course Mister Ulison"

He looked to the Cardinal, a sympathetic smile on his face

"There is no need to fight here Mister Shannow...or do you prefer the title of Cardinal?"

The Three marines lowered their guns. The situation appeared to be defusing. After Marcus and Vivaz made their introductions, Popsicle chirped in "I'm Popsicle, thats Powder, and he's Hornet" he said, pointing to his teamates in turn "Were part of the Sons of 0100000101001111's First Airborne Powder chirped in. "Yeah, and our squad got broken up on the drop. Said Hornett when Powder finished.

At that moment, Isaac got up and walked into the clearing. His mech was about 9 feet tall, and towered over the marines "Sup fella's" he said to nobody in perticular as he reached the group. His rifle was lowered, but he was ready to take a shot if things got too hot.


When the barbarian came into the clearing and raised his sword at the Cardinal, the marines jumped to action. Immediatly Popsicle had his rifle aimed, Hornett had his pistol up, and Powder had a grenade in his hand, pin ready to be pulled. Isaac turned and aimed his railgun striaght at the Barbarian. "Lets just lower the sword, and then he can talk." he said slowly.

Isaac began to talk, without lowing his gun. "We're here to meet the local warlord. that would be you right?" he said. Then he switched the communicator off, so that his voice wasn't projected through speakers to the world outside his mech(which was relatively sound proof). He started talking into his radio "Command, this is Bear Trap. Enemy VIP in close proximity, has Cardinal hostage. Need assistance, over." he quickly said. There was a minute of nothing, then he could see the blimp, high above them, begin to move.
