New Xbox Dashboard

K is anyone else not happy with the new xbox360 dasboard. I'm not happy with it because of how long the last one was in place for and because they only did it for kinect.

well the new colours aren't good and the new sounds aswell.

Once you get over the minor visual change they didn't really do much. It seems to be a bit faster to open to ingame menu and it starts up maybe a tiny bit faster, but other than that I haven't really seen much difference aside from the visual weirdness.

I too share these opinions, but perhaps not the grammar.

The fact that the Dashboard update was done mainly for the Kinect though is what really irks me.
Microsoft seems to have forgotten about the consumers that dislike bounding up and down in their living room.

I actually like the sounds better, but when it first started up with the almost all white background I went through 3 stages:

1) MY EYES!!
2) Wait is this my roommate's Wii?
3) Meh.

I say it's no better, no worse than the previous. Just different.

Well, the party voice chat quality is now a LOT better, so that alone makes this update worth it. However, I do agree that all that white and bright colors make the menus look a bit Wii-y. I guess they thought a dark color scheme might scare the casual gamers. Zing!

I don't like the fact that I can't see the item immediately to the left of what I have highlighted. It's kind of annoying.

Of course, the main purpose of the update was to make it compatible with Kinect.

I just don't like the brightness of it all... It hurts my eyes
