This just in: running found unsafe

This just in: walking found unsafe

This just in: fun found unsafe
This just in: safety measures found unsafe. It is advised that you strap your child to a large piece of foam and feed them with a saline drip until new safety measures and diet can be ascertained.

This is just... I don't even know. Why would they do this? I guess its to regulate small time "camps" and make them pay money but what the hell. Te implication is ridiculous.

Turning our children into a bunch of pussies is going to do them far more harm than good. I thought this was common knowledge. I thought George Carlin's "You are all Diseased" stand-up routine opened even more eyes. *sigh*

I was a kid when red rover and football pickup games got banned. I thought it was insulting, but at least there where 2 sides to the situation. Banning kickball and freeze tag though? For the love.

It doesn't surprise me that its New York. There are only 4 states that have not sanctioned Mixed Martial Arts and NY is one of them. The other 3 are tiny backwards states that you would expect to yell "No! Its brutal and dangerous!" and then plug their ears and close their eyes yelling "No! No! No! No! Hee-haw! Hee-haw!" These people dont bother to actually check the facts and look at sports statistics. Actually, one of those four states simply doesn't have an athletic commission. Boxing has more concussions per year than MMA has had in its 20 year history. Boxing has multiple DEATHS per year, and professional MMA has yet to cause a single death. Even Football has more concussions and knee injuries per year than professional MMA. No one has ever become paralyzed or even sustained a back or neck injury without a full recovery. This can not be said for football, hockey, or even WWE wrestling.
1: Both Sadly and Thankfully, stand up routines rarely open eyes or change minds. Sadly, Bill Hicks. Thankfully, Dane Cook.

2: Yeah, that happened at my school too only with Sun Stare and Let's Go Play in the Woods.
This is just a PR move, based on some popular Junk Pedagogy that's designed to make someone or other look like they're actually accomplishing something. Joke's on them.

3: All quite true. Actually it's interesting to note that the, except for two incidents, all RECORDED deaths in MMA occurred at unsanctioned events. By not sanctioning MMA events, these states are putting more people at risk. It's not like you can just tell people to stop fighting or wanting to see fighting.

4: Ok this is just nitpicking, but as a representative of pro wrestling on this site: Could you not refer to it as "WWE Wrestling"? We do not believe that the WWE is representative of pro wrestling wrestling as it has been nor as it currently exists around the world. Not even the WWE itself wants to be referred to as "Wrestling" anymore, and has taken issue with news publications that refer to them as a wrestling company. Anyway, by saying WWE wrestling, you're in essence saying: Coke Style Soda or Time Warner style music.
It's not big deal, but I'm psychologically compelled to be one of the few voices of pro wrestling on this forum.
Sorry.
