Sure thing. There was a thread on this site for it, but it has 404'd. Luckily I bookmarked the article.dududf said:Got a link to that story? Ugh, you are one of those people. Everyone has a right to live, taking that away or saying someone doesn't deserve it puts you in the same catagory as Nazis to me. And he was a kid, a stupid kid who would of wised up after time in juvie. Shooting him was unnessisary, Granny should of gone to the cops. If it had been happening for a year then why didn't she go earlier? Violance is never needed and should always be avioded. For only weak minds turn to violance in times of need. There is always another way.HG131 said:It wasn't a "stupid thing", it had been happening for a year!Fallen-Angel Risen-Demon said:What? That's stupid! If I went around shooting everyone who did that I would've shot hundreds, possibly thousands of people. This is unjustifiable, especially seen as though it was a kid. And newsflash, kids do stupid things without thinking about it. She should of called the police and have him sent to juvie.
Some people shouldn't be allowed to live. This kid is one of those people.Celtic_Kerr said:There is a difference between hurt and killed. He's 12 years old. Not saying he shouldn't be hurt, but being shot is overkill.Richard Eis said:As far as i'm concerned, her aim was off.
Someone terrorises an old lady for a year, they deserve what they get, as they clearly have no sense of compassion or understanding. Prissy little "humans shouldn't be hurt, everyone is speshul" space cadets need a few lessons in real life.
Still, it's kind of a disproportionate retribution. And I'd like to say that I like your avatar.xDarc said:No. But the bricks the kid was throwing are potentially lethal. Probably the key reason no charges are being filed against granny.Jamash said:So verbal abuse is enough justification to shoot children?
Freedom of speech tends to go out the window when someone's throwing bricks through windows.Jamash said:So verbal abuse is enough justification to shoot children?
Does freedom of speech not apply to children, who can be shot for being mouthy?
I know it's not quite as simple as that, but it does seem a bit extreme to shoot a child, even if he was being a bastard.
I hope she was a crack shot and was aiming for his shoulder, because if not she's extremely lucky. Six inches out and she could have hit him in the head or chest.
It take s child getting shot to restore your faith?Plurralbles said:wait... she's NOT losing her house? She's NOT going to jail? he's NOT getting off scott-free?
OMFG faith in humanity is restored!

Violence leads to nothing but more violence...... Which in turn means you were violent enough to end all the violence.blackflare said:i supose violence leads to violence its just an endless spiral that will remain the same till the end of time. Sure people can change but not everyone. Its like asking for a miracle.
I think people are only takeing the child's side because he's a kid. If he wasn't I doubt anybody would side with him. Doesn't matter whether he's a kid or not if he picked on an elderly woman for a year he's still a prick.DaKyster said:I don't care about all you people who say that the child should not have been shot, the granny was being harassed for a year, if i had thrown a brick at her and got shot, it would be my fault and i would deserve it.
no, verbal abuse is no justification to shoot at children.Jamash said:So verbal abuse is enough justification to shoot children?

You are 100% right. Every single individual has the right to live as they see fit. Until they begin infringing on that right against others. Once someone makes the conscious decision to bring violence on another, they forfeit any claim to their life and freedom. The aggressor's rights do not supersede the rights of the victims. That's a fucked up story. A little hard to believe, but it happened so there you go. Man. Thanks for the link.PrimoThePro said:Sure thing. There was a thread on this site for it, but it has 404'd.
