It makes my main screen loading times longer, and it's ugly and overly complicated. So yeah, I hate it.
Pretty much this. I thought it was strange that my 360 was taking a bid longer to load today (my brother probably updated it earlier without my knowing) until I was met with the next-level clusterfuck of a menu.

So. Many. Squares.

Well , my games automatically load , so i haven't seen the difference in Dash boards in years . I might be in for an unpleasant surprise.

I personally think it looks even more like clusterfucked shit than it did before. About the only good thing I've seen come out of the new update is that it doesn't take five minutes for the recent arcade games list to load up anymore.

I hated the previous metro dash with a passion, it's so inefficient compared any PC webstore, the new dash seems to be a slight improvement, more icons and less wasted screen realestate
Not all consoles are the POS adbox that the xbox has become...
The only ad my playstation has is a couple of scrolling text ads in the top right-hand corner. Also, on my PS3 I can actually see my entire background, and I get dynamic backgrounds too. Not to mention I don't have to pay $60 a year to utilize the entirety of the games that I have already paid for.

I'm also sick of updates. I canceled my live subscription two dashbords ago when they started putting ads on my system that I had already paid for.

I like some features of it, like having the sorting of games in the marketplace just easier to get at, and the fonts are nice, and Pins might...be useful...maybe.

But seriously, the system was already filled to the brim with ads, so what did they do? Ads in boxes, and boxes everywhere, PERFECT!

I've said before that the ads were getting ridiculous on that system, but at least there was some abstract concept of a design going on, but now its just mathematical squares lined up in rows and columns with one big, insultingly obnoxious ad taking up my Home page. Maybe if the game in my disc tray was in that big spot, and the Pins and Recent categories were moved over into the bottom-center row with two columns of ads on the sides, it would be fine, but no, only the high-rollers get that spot. On your Home tab. Which you're paying a subscription for. And the ads are for politics. Also, its stupid.

Haven't really looked into properly, downloaded it last night and then jumped straight into the game. My initial reaction however was "Yay, more adverts!"

I'll nose about it properly and see what it's like at some point.

Oh, mine's updating as we speak!
Waiting...
Waiting...
It's taking longer than expected...
And DONE! Let's see!

Well, it's still crap. I don't care much about the other features my 360 offers. I just use it to play with my friends every now and then. So what pisses me off is that my "Play game" square, which was already small even though that should still be the main function of the 360, just got smaller. It's not like I can't it; it's still there. But that just sends me the message that MS doesn't want me to use the 360 to play games anymore. And yeah, I know that's exactly what they want. So...duly noted, I guess.

This is neither here nor there but: I love my PS3. Sure, it might not be the same but hey, my dashboard hasn't changed at all ever since I first got it, no ads and it looks pretty. So yay for that.

Honestly? My favorite dashboard is still the original one. This one's just a blatant, transparent attempt to cram as many ads as possible on our screen at one time. It's not hard to use or anything, it's just ugly as shit.

And kind of insulting. Like they think we won't notice, we'll just be all "Hey, look at all this shit I didn't know I needed until this exact moment! I must now buy it all! Thanks for the tip, Microsoft!" Ugh.
