Indeed, the one I was thinking of is Beyond the Red Line [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beyond_the_Red_Line], though I don't think it's ever been completed - part of the team behind it left to make another Freespace 2 Battlestar campaign called Diaspora. The demo they have finished though has been circulating the web for a while.

Wow! That looks amazing! When is that coming out? It looks really interesting. I've always liked games that let you modify your equipment, but most of them use that as a crutch for wek gameplay. This one looks really cool!

It's currently in premilinary closed beta, I expect open beta to start in no more than a month or two tops.

I've been thinking about this for a while now ever since recently finishing Battlestar Galactica. I remember back in the day playing X-wing Verses Tie-Fighter no end. The sickening cockpit view staring out into the void of space. The visceral joy of manipulating my ship with the plastic joystick. I look at the market now and I see nothing of the sort (on consoles at least). If you've ever watched Battlestar long enough to see some of the spectacular space wars you'll know what I'm getting at here. Image a game like X-wing, only with beautiful graphics, intense detail and lighting, masses of enemies and stars on screen at once, and tell me that it doesn't sound like a game you might be slightly interested in. Go on, tell me. TELL ME!

Yeah, I've been watching this and Black Prophecy for a while. Looking sweet! I had nostalgia for a decent flight sim a while back and found them both, which made my day that little bit better

Love the idea of Black Prophecy, but I'm not generally a fan of MMOs. Naumachia, however, just sounds awesome
