I certainly hope that Guitar Hero will be left to die with some dignity remaining. Although Guitar Hero Tupac would be cool if there were guitar riffs in his stuff.

Besides, it would be overshadowed by Guitar Hero: The Kinks due to all the people who would buy it after Yahtzee's review.

Well, I guess they're trying to hit big bands that are famous.
Metallica is one of the most favoured by metalheads.
Aerosmith appealed more to the rock/pop community.
And Beatles brought all the people into older stuff into GH as well.
I guess with the amount of Downloadable Content for rock groups such as Green Day,
we won't see many releases like this.
I expect the Downloadable Content to grow rather than more games like this.
Unless if they find another market that the game will appeal to.
Because let's face it, if they made a Guitar Hero: Slayer
Not too many people would buy it, and it would result in a massive waste of money.
But if they make it a downloadable content, they don't have to pay a penny
and it goes to the people who want it and no-one else.
No money wasted on packaging or discs.
So I guess we'll see lots of DLC releases rather than anymore games.
... But I bet you soon enough there'll be a GH: Queen

Guitar Hero: Van Halen is confirmed, out around Christmas. As for Rock Band, Green Day and Pearl Jam are strongly rumoured but nothing's actually confirmed yet.
As for what I'd like them to do... well, I'd like them to stop with the band-specific. I see why they do it, but they just don't have the mass appeal of the main series games. I haven't got Metallica and I won't get Van Halen, mostly because my days of serious plastic guitar playing are over so I don't want to spend hours grinding away to get better at difficult songs. I did, however, get the Aerosmith one and I'm getting the Beatles Rock Band because I just love those bands.
But, disregarding my opinions on the above: I'd be here all day if I listed all the bands I'd like to see a full game of, so I'll spare you that. I'll just say Radiohead for now.
