Now, I'm speaking as someone who's been playing Guitar Hero since 2005, and continues to play Rock Band to this day:
Enough is enough.
Ever since Neversoft took over the Guitar Hero brand, they've done everything they can to make it completely unappealing. Between changing the game's aesthetic to some kind of "I'm 14 and so fucking hardcore" attitude, and the moronic band-specific games, they're not even hiding the fact that they're just churning these out like clockwork to take more of your money.
at least Harmonix isn't as bad. Sure, they're guilty of the band-specific game now, but come on; if anyone was going to do a Beatles game, I'd rather it be them than Neversoft. Harmonix also seems to take more of a... curatorial approach to its content, especially the DLC. They take chances, on music that most aren't familiar with. I mean, since taste is what it is, I can't say I agree with all their choices (if some 12-year-old makes me play Avenged Sevenfold one more time I will be driven to suicide), but i don't know; I guess at least they're better at pretending they're not in it for the money.

to me the series has gone down hill since world tour maybe its just that im not a big fan of Metallica. Just as a thought release guitar hero Beatles than just release via XBOX live/PSN/Wiiware and let it die it was a lot of fun but i guarantee that if they release DJ hero (shutter) it will be the final nail in the coffin.
