Next Oline FPS.

Simple question to you all: What should be my next online FPS purchase? I'm still playing TF2, L4D and a LOT of CoD4, but I need something new, something fresh.

I loved Battlefield 2142 with a passion, I was friggin good at it too. I also love CoD4. The WW2 shooter thing is also something I got tired of... so based on that, can you guys suggest anything?

Modern Warfare 2. Or if you have XBLA, Battlefield 1943 is pretty good. Even though the planes are the only decent thing about it.

Good question. I have all of those and CS:S & CoD:WaW. I don't recommend the new CoD, I'm pretty much waiting for the new L4D and MW2.

Killing Floor maybe? Its cheap so you can't really go wrong.

Would say Red Orchestra, that is good and realistically gritty, but WWII.

For PC anyway, what platform we talking?

It's going to be hard to find something fresh in the online FPS world especially since you already played TF2 and L4D to death it seems. Maybe change it up and play some more Counterstrike or an old fashioned skill based game like Quake 3.

Of course, MW2 is just around the corner.
If you have PSN/XBL you could get Battlefied 1943.

Although bad company isn't really the same if you've played battlefield 2 or 2142. It's more CoD4 than BF, I think.

Wait for Section 8. Instead of respawning you jump from a plane. And then you can land on someone. How cool is that? Well maybe not so cool for the victim. You still gotta love the idea of reverse spawn camping.

I second CS:S, great game. And i would also suggest Unreal Tournament 99. Its pretty retro these days, but the community still seems to be going strong, and its a good community too.
That and the fact you could probably pick it up for next to nothing these days, and i would definitly recommend it over ut2004 and ut3.

Thanks guys. Right now it seems like my best bet is MW2, however I loved Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, probs my favorite shooter of all time, tbh. Will the new Wolfenstein have a Wolf:ET2 thing going on?
