I always laugh how a lot of these can simply be answered by combining this with the MMO template we see copying WoW...one thing I also love that Pokemon does is that in Black and White, the 3D bridge actually made me physically happy, so much I went back and forth on it grinning with glee over the effects. I then later put it down, went to do some work and realised, "Wait, all my other games have such better graphics then that, why did that make me so happy?" I find it remarkable how they can be so behind the times with every other game and still make me happy thinking it's a technological leap...
Anyway back to the point...
-Ability to travel to all the zones (like in G/S/C)
-Ability to fly anywhere instead of cities/towns
-Ability to interact with the environment or do crazy wicked things like in the anime in battle (for example, Pikachu standing on it's tail to avoid earthquake, fire water gun at that rock to rebound the shell to repel the epic beam of epicness)
-Hyper beam's miss to destroy a small part of the world...
-Magikarp to be renamed "I'll be back!"
-A regular Eevee evolution (normal type)
Also because I've already said some pretty farfetch'd things:
-Real time pokemon battles...not necessarily in the hand-held but in the colleseum thing they'll eventually release for the big console. So remember in Pokemon Stadium where you assigned each move to one of the C buttons? Why not have it so you have like 3-5 seconds to decide, yes pretty much a quick time event. But instead of the usual quick time events (press x to not die) these are ones that you've programmed in and after use, should memorize them...I remember how in pokemon stadium I selected the attack I wanted to use in a split second because the animation's playing out made me think about my strategy...with some refining, this could work and would make a much more engaging game to me and it would mix up the battle system but still making it not a drastic change...it would just be refreshing is all...
