I don't really see it as a big enough deal to hide it or bring it out in the open. I play games..... so what? It's not something that is either negative or positive, it just is. I have alot of other things going for me besides that.

Now herpes, on the other hand.....

yeah im not some hardcore gamer religious freak who has to announce to everyone what i am, and nearly all of my friends are from different "stereotypes" per say, and we all occasionally play games, i do more then my friends, but when we met/when i meet new people, its hardly ever the first thing mentioned, unless they mention it first for some odd reason then we will chat it up about games

I really don't care that people know I'm a gamer. I don't try to hide it. I'll only really talk about it with other gamers though, because they're the ones that'll care.

I don't think it would be important to bring up as a topic all on its own, just a casual aside during another conversation.
It's not like you'd go "[Deep inhale] Nancy, we've been together for a few months now... and I feel comfortable enough to tell you... I'm a gamer [sob, manly tears rolling down your cheek] Oh god hold me. It feels so good to have that out there, so good."

In my school every fking prep thinks they are a gamer because they play cod mw2 and other generic 360 games.

its why i hate the 360 community and hate everything about the 360.

Most people will normally find out I play games at some point, normally shortly after they ask me what I get up to at home. I treat gaming as a normal part of my life no different to people harping on about cars or the latest sports event. It also helps that I tend to wear a lot of gaming T-shirts :)
