When I read the title, I thought it would be a crappy M Knight Shaymlan Movie. But when I read the article:

Enough said.

I can't WAIT to see what kinds of weird creatures and stories will be introduced here.

But wait- The air nation is G O N E. how can Korta learn airbending?

YES! :-D

I no longer feel even the remotest urge to watch the recent film version just to see something new and Airbender-related in spite of how bad everyone says it is. Now I can simply look forward to this. Huzzah!

Aang had a son who was an airbender, so he's teaching her.

I really don't know what to think about the plot.

I mean, I'm absolutely ecstatic that they're making a continuation to one of my favorite series of all time, and the premise is up to par with the rest of the show.

But I'm not sure if it's going to be as grand in scale. In the original series, it was Aang, trying to save the entire world from the Fire Nation, and that's what I loved. Now, it's just the city's crime, and a revolution to stop bending in that city. Not quite as epic, if you ask me.

And sorry if something like this has been said already, I'm not reading 8 pages right now.

But it would get worst if the anti-bender get enough people to join them world-wide. It may just start in a city and seem like not a big deal, but think about it. If people start to listen to them, then big trouble for benders and the avatar.

I didn't think the live action was bad...but then I find it difficult to dislike movies.
Unless its sin city, that was plain crap.

ok, in all honesty, I think this sounds like a great Idea. A great idea they could very very easily screw up, but I hope they don't. I do find it hilariously ironic that, you take out the leader of the most technologically advanced nation, and a few decades later every other nation is trying to be them in a small capacity, great concept, but my god I hope they don't screw it up.

Sounds sooweeet. Hope metalbending has a large part in this as I'm sure it will.
i wonder how famous tough will be if that is true. after all, she came up with it.

OT: fuck yes. i will be watching this somehow, some way. its gonna be very cool. although what i liked about avatar was the fact that from the beginning, it had an end in sight that it actively progressed to. i dont see the potential for that in this series, but as long as the original writers are behind it, i am supporting this all the way.

I'm conflicted. More Avatar is good, but I can't help but be disappointed that they're going for a mini-series rather than an honest-to-god season. The decision to set it multiple generations after the original would also seem to limit the opportunity to satisfy fans with some closure re: their favorite characters. No more Sokka makes me a sad nerd.

Off-topic: Am I the only one who thinks "Airbender" sounds like a flashy electric guitar?

Honestly, nothing's saying that this anti-bending group isn't trying to spread their message to the other nations. That could make for a good story, though I don't know how they're gonna get a good story out of that in 12 episodes =/
