As we all know, Nicolas Cage has been voted Time Magazine's person of the year every year, since it began, and is poised to become the next president of the US, as well as King. In honour of this magnificent man I feel it would be best to give all of our attention to him.

Just look at him.

ACTUAL QUESTION: So, Escapists, what's your favourite Nicolas Cage movie, and why?

Captcha: have fun
Quite right, captcha, quite right.

Lord of War. It was fucking awesome. Followed by Drive Angry then Face/Off. He gets way too much hate, him and Keeanu Reeves. I think they should do a movie together, the internet would blow in anger.

Thank me later.

I love Nick Cage in Kick Ass. A psychopathic Adam West Batman? What's not to like? :D

Probably Kick-Ass. Although Bad Lieutenant and Drive Angry were good, too.

Also, this is incredibly relevant:

Wild at Heart remains the best use of Nic Cage's barrelling emotions. He's good as a softy greaser wannabe Elvis man.

Bad Lieutenant was good too.

I would have to go with Kick-Ass.

His character was so damn crazy that it was just so perfect for him.

He was good in Raising Arizona and Leaving Las Vegas too.

Well yeah, pretty sure he won an oscar for that.
He did?

Learn something new everyday.

Although, I will say it's not a film I would watch for fun and for enjoyment since it's so damn depressing. It's still a good film though.

I thank you, friend.
No thanks are necessary, brother! I am but a humble servant to our Lord and savior who wishes to share his Good News!

Nicolas Cage has more oscars than Leonardo Dicaprio...
Then again, I'm pretty sure Cage doesn't turn down movies so it's bound to happen sometime.

If I had to pick one, I'd choose Face Off, as it's the most ridiculous film ever, but manages to be fun enough to keep watching. Although my preferred answer would be ALL OF THEM

I honestly didn't expect to get ninja'd on Lord of War lovin', but I am glad that I was.

Yeah, that's my favourite Cage flick.

Though, looking over the filmography of the guy saint, I was surprised to find he was an extra in the film adaption of The Outsiders.

I never noticed that. He really does get around film wise, eh?

As for my favorite Nic Cage performances, I liked him in Lord of War and KickAss. You need to pair him up with a good director to do a good film.

I haven't seen a lot of Nick Cage, but he was really good in Kick Ass. I guess I'll vote for that. He seemed to pull off "weird, slightly creepy guy who can be all kinds of bad ass when he needs to be" quite well.

OH GOD HOW DID I MISS THIS THE FIRST TIME AROUND

Nicolas Cage is my favorite actor, bar none. He's the source of endless comedy and badassery. Nicolas Cage can do no wrong. I am the insane fan that defends everything he ever does, ever.

And on that note, "Vampire's Kiss" is the best film ever made. Ever.

That's why.

I love this! Now I love you! and I love him ♥

He was fantastic in Kick-Ass. I was disappointed he wasn't in 2 somehow but there was a framed picture of him which me and my boyfriend cheered at when we saw it and agreed on getting it for our house.

I don't watch enough movies of anything so I'll have to get back to ya with some more.
