Ninja's: Sands of the forest: Mission 1

Kekkai jutsu means Barrier jutsu, Kekkei jutsu means jutsu used with a kekkei genkai.

"I have no clue, but he did seem a bit stiff when he entered." Rukawa spoke, slightly awed by Kayo's strength. "By the way, what's up with the straps? Got back from an S&M club?"

 

[TheIronRuler]

"It's to protect my body from itself" Kayo brushed his right hand on the strap around his left arm biceps, "A part of my heritage. The Hokage saved me with this ingenius invention".

 

[ShasOMiKael]

"Kay... Good to know..." Seeing that he wasn't able to get a rise out of Kayo, Rukawa reached into his pack and took two waffles, munching on one, he offered the other one to Kayo. "Care for a waffle?"

 

[TheIronRuler]

"Sure" Kayo took the waffle and ate it in two bites.
"Did you talk with our team leader?" Kayo asked Rukawa.

"Yes he talked with me." Yukiko said then opened her eyes. "Our mission is recon. Need to know anything else?"

"So... Are we setting off soon? I'm bored..." Rukawa spoke after finishing his waffle. "Yo, sensei, had a good nap?"

Kayo was surprised to hear the purpose of the mission.
"Is the village low on able shinobi? Why would the Hokage ask me to act in a recon mission?" he asked Yukiko.

"You're part of a team now, its the teams mission. Recon is much more than scouting an emery line. we're going to search for a certain species of tree, a ninja is occupying the area and preventing us from getting said tree. And on the note of when we're leaving, your late team mate will arrive then we'll leave." she said and rubbed her neck where the curse mark is.

"Simple, we need to find the area and report back here."

Noticing Yukiko rub her curse mark, Rukawa wanted to say something but then remembered her words. "But he's taking so long..."

Yukiko looked at the sun, using her hand to make a shadow so it didn't blind her. "He's late..." she said. Focusing her attention back on the two chunin, she spoke: "We're not waiting any longer."
Each of the two nin nodded and they took off, running through the tree tops, deep into the forest.

I'm giving another day for him to post, then i'm killing him off in an anti climatic way.

"Finally!" Rukawa yelled, dashing through the tree tops. "Sensei, where is the tree located?"

"It wouldn't be a recon mission if we knew where it was, now would it?" Yukiko asked somewhat sarcastically. "The damn nin has killed everyone they sent before us, so no one has reported back its location. We have a general direction to go in." she said and shifted her direction a few degrees, the other two following.

"Must you be so mean, sensei? It hurts right here." Rukawa replyed sarcasticlly, holding a hand over his heart.

Yukiko chuckled a bit and looked over her shoulder at Kayo "How you holding up back there big man?"

Kayo tried to catch up with the speed of his comrades.
"A bit fast for my taste" Kayo said as he leaped from a tree branch to the next, "I prefer to walk. What are the statistics about the tree? Do we know how it looks like?".

 

[mcpop9]

"Large and white barked. shouldn't be easy to miss. " Yukiko said then held up a hand to stop, all of them stopping on their own branches. "We should be in the area." she said, there was a rustle from somewhere near them, sending Yukiko into high alert.
"Guys, I don't think we're alone."

 

[ShasOMiKael]

Hearing Yukiko's words, Rukawa did a string of hand-seals, after which he grabbed his naginata and got into a combat stance. "Barrier: Canopy Method Formation I'll know when they come within five meters."
