It's been 10 years since the assault on The Hidden Leaf Village by The Akatski and Pain. The Hidden leaf village is rebuilding slowly and prospering under Lady Tsunade's leadership.

New Ninja training had begun, the chunin exams were just over and the new ninja had been put into teams. All of the remaining Akatski were hunted down and killed, but Saske and Madora were still at large.

Teams were being dispatched daily to look for them. The new chunin however, were being sent on resource scavenging missions and as support to other villages to try and bring in more money for the villages.

However lurking in the shadows was an unknown enemy. They were building their strength, biding their time. waiting for the perfect moment to assault the weakened village.

Spoiler: Yukiko Kiyokuro Sensai

Name:Yukiko Kiyokuro

Gender: Female

Age: 31

Appearance: Around 5ft 6. Her skin is pale-tanish and she has white irises. She is an average looking woman and wears the standard flak vest and uniform as all Hidden Village ninja do, her forehead protector hangs around her neck.
She has Black hair that hangs down to the top of her neck. The curse mark is on the back of her neck, but is hidden by the vest's collar.


Family History: Born to a mother and father who were abusive to her, Yukiko had lived a rough early life. when she'd cry, her parents would dump raw chalkra into her until it knocked her out.

Blue Flame release:
-Great Flame Dragon. (Like the fire release, but this dragon is blue flame and arcs electricity.)

-Shrieking chidori (Yukiko developed the technique from watching kakashi do it and applied the blue flame release to it.)

-Twin snake fist. ( two blue-flame-snake heads appear over her fists, increasing melee power.)

Cursed Seal of Heaven: Yukiko, being trained by Orochimaru, was one of the first ten to receive the seal and had nearly died from it. while she hasn't went into full curse moe, Yukiko can tap into its greater chalkra.


Kekkei Genkai: Blue Flame release.

Strengths: Is excellent at hand to hand combat and is extremely proficient with ninjutsu.

Weaknesses: Is no good with weapons, Kunai and swords are useless to her.

Bio: Yukiko ran away from the village when she was eight because of her parents. She barely managed to survive on her own until Orochimaru took her in. He taught Yukiko many things until he began the curse mark testing. Yukiko was almost killed by the mark, almost. during the process, Lightning affinity was forced into her Flame affinity, creating the blue flame Affinity.

She awoke to find herself dumped with the dead bodies in the middle of the forest. After a while, Yukiko had become self sufficient. she spent her time honing her Jutsu's power. it had been years since she had seen the hidden leaf and it wasn't until a few weeks after the fight with pain that she had returned and was now 21.

Yukiko helped rebuild the village and enrolled into the Academy and quickly raised up to Jonin rank, she had volunteered to supervise the new chunin teams.

Other: the cursed seal of heaven doesn't have the corroding effect because of Orochimaru's passing.

Appearance: Kayo stands at 6'4'' . Kayo has short red hair and green eyes. Several places around his body are wrapped in black leather infused with chakra, to stop the genetic defect Kayo suffers from (arms and legs, chest and shoulders). He wears short brown denim trousers (up to his knees) and a red A-Shirt, once white.
Family History: The Ashikara clan.
Weapons: Two specially crafted brass knuckles, with the tip of a kunai attached on them. A dozen shuriken, half a dozen bomb tags, half a dozen throwing kunai. (Carries a flask of strong liquor)

-Drunken Fist. An ability which Kayo discovered while drinking with his sensei and had worked on it with his 'grandfather' that claims he can master it. In this state Kayo moves fluently through air and stone alike, using he earth around him in his advantage in every trip and fall he has due to the alchohol.
-Fist of Earth, manipulating the earth to give the user a boost to speed, this technique was invented by Kayo to compensate over his lack of speed and agility. He can use the earth around him to grant him momentum and launch him forward, dive into the earth and up, gaining speed.
Kekkei Genkai: (Not sure if this is applicable) Born to the Ashikara Clan, Kayo was the fourth in his family to possess the genetic defect that others had before him. The Askikara Clan is prone towards Taijutsu and Earth Affinity; some of their members carry this affection to strength even further. Their Muscles grow without much effort, something which requires the user to consume much more calories per day, but as a side-effect of this uncontrolled muscle growth, their skin tends to rip open and their speed is reduced.
Strengths: Kayo is very strong. His Taijutsu attacks are devastating and coupled with his earth affinity he can literally crush opponents.
Weaknesses: Kayo is rather slow. In a fight he would rely on his earth manipulation techniques to get from point A to B because his speed can't match the ones of other Shinobi.
Bio: Born to the Ashikara clan, his mother died several hours after giving birth from loss of blood. His father held a grudge against him for the rest of his life for taking away the love of his life. As a young child Kayo's father trained him in combat, both of them lived in a strict training regime. When he was seven, Kato's father noticed that Kayo was over-developed for his age and took him to be examined.
Kayo was suffering from a genetic defect that had appeared in the Ashikaga clan only three times before him. After learning of that, His father was even keener on making him train and develop his abilities. When Kayo was eleven, he began suffering from unexplained lacerations on his body. His skin would spontaneously erupt and let blood gush out.
He was rushed to the hospital and was told to stop his training and any Taijutsu training. Afterwards his Father tried to release Kayo and continue with his training, but the doctors overseeing the recovery of Kayo didn't allow it. For months Kayo went through examinations and surgeries, the doctors trying to understand how to stop the phenomenon he suffers from.
One night his father abducted him from hospital bed and went with him to the nearby woods to train with him again. For the first time, Kayo refused and begged his father to stop. If he would continue to train with his father, Kayo would suffer grave injuries and might die. A fight erupted between the two and Kayo ran away from his father towards the village.
His father was killed in his frenzy by a Jounin that passed by and saw him attack Kayo. He then took Kayo to see the Hokage and settle his status in the village. The Hokage then thought of a revolutionary idea to allow Kayo to continue training, but on one condition ? that he would go to the academy and become a student.
Kayo had neglected his studies of Ninjutsu, and when he came to the academy he found out that he was very poor with it. Even though he would struggle in creating a large amount of clones, he managed to find his Nature affinity when he was 14. Trained by a strange man that claimed to be his grandfather, his 'grandfather' combined Kayo's Taijutsu training with his Nature Manipulation training and thus managed to make him into an adept in Earth Manipulation.
Kayo's distinct style that he developed allowed him to perform well above the expectations for his appearance in the Chunin exams, allowing him to pass it. The spectators that saw a giant set foot in the arena doubted he could match the speed of his opponent, but Kayo surprised them by using the earth to propel him and increase his speed greatly, allowing him to move in and strike his opponent with one stone encrusted punch to his face.
When he became a chunin, his 'grandfather' gave him two special brass knuckles, claiming that if he has the power he could wield them and dominate the battlefield. He said that it was previously used by the third person to have had his Genetic defect.

Other: He is not a lumbering giant. When he travels with his group he can run and swing from treetops, he has high endurance but he's slower.

The first person died from it, the second didn't even have such a high level of Taijutsu (But his muscles still growed in an incredible rate, he just didn't dedicate himself to Taijutsu) the third used their chakra to seal these wounds. But because his development was very fast due to his training with his father, at age 10 he couldn't control and mold chakra to protect his skin. So the Hokage stepped in and with her medical experties managed to seal the problematic areas.

Again - they don't change into that. The side effect of having massive muscles is that his body couldn't handle it and then comes the chakra infused straps. But if he hadn't worked on his body so intensively, he wouldn't reach such a state.
His father literally tirtured him on a dailey basis when he was training under him, because he wanted him to be powerful but also becuase he still hated him, blaming him for the death of his wife.

Gender: Male

Age: 29

Appearance: Katsuo is about 6 feet tall with broad shoulders and an athletic frame. He has a very ?classic stoic? look about him with a strong jaw, electrifying sapphire eyes, and manly facial features. His hair is short and dirty brown with a clean shaven face. He wears a regular pair of black sandals and long grey pants, a tight sleeveless dark blue undershirt and a loose brown jacket with his clan symbol stitched into the back. The symbol is a diamond shape with two smaller versions on the inside, one inside the other so that it is the same symbol getting bigger as it moves outwards. He wears his shinobi headband like a necklace, and the metal part is made of sapphire. Finally, he wears a pair of fingerless ninja gloves, but rather than the usual metal plate on the back of the hand, they are also squares of sapphire.

Family History: Katsuo was born to the Yamauchi (within the mountain) clan after their successful revolution.

Kekkei Genkai: Kurisutaru no sōsa (Crystal Manipulation)
This basically means he can make the Sapphire on his hands into almost any shape he wants

Strengths: He is tough, and extremely skilled with detailed, varied, and fast use of his control of Sapphire
Weaknesses: Thanks to his father?s neglect he has basically no combat skill other than crystal manipulation.

Bio: The Yamauchi clan was born from a ninja ?born from the crystals deep within the mountains? and their Kekkei Genkai is control over crystals. For the majority of their history until bery recently they were basically clan of mountain sages/hermits. The problem was that their abilities with various crystals could be worth lots and lots of money to a great many people. For decades they were taken as slaves and had their precious gems stolen from them. Over time some of them began to turn to a more militaristic stance. They were reprimanded by the elders that wanted to stay as they were and tentions built until the warriors battled with the sages and killed most of them in one night known as ?The night of flowing Ruby?. Katsuo was born just days after the revolution and when he developed beyond average skill in sapphire control, it was like a sign from the mountain that they had done the right thing, since sapphire is their noblest of gems. Unfortunately, this, along with the fact that he was name ?Victorious man? (English version of his name) in celebration of the revolution earned him the ire and despise of his father Ibana before he could speak. His father was in fact the son of the second highest sage, but was to much of a coward to oppose the warriors, so his projected self hatred and bitterness over the loss of the old ways caused him to refuse to acknowledge Katsuo. His skill was praised by the others in the clan but tradition called for Katsuo?s father be his teacher. Since his father refused to interact with his son in any way, he was left with poor at best knowledge of any jutsu other than crystal manipulation. He was raised by his mother, causing him to be proud of the new ways of the clan and have a strong moral code. He and his father grew to hate each other mutually, and he became a Leaf Village Shinobi just to spite his father. This worked specifically because he was the first Yamauchi to join with the leaf village, which lead to a trade agreement between the two and a pact of mutual support in war, all in the name of the new, warrior way of the clan. After this, Ibana has taken to refusing Katsuo entrance into their house when he is there.

Sup Thought I'd throw my hat in and try out Sheet making, I'm working on the belief that this is set in the Present but far from the civilized world, if you don't like it, let me know and relax if you have to kick me out, it's cool, I'm still new to this.

Appearance: 6ft 0", Crimson hair (dyed), Spiked back, white skin colour, Face like Dante's from DMC, Unshaven, Green eyes, Decked out in a Black tank top with a well-worn duster jacket with the Village's symbols sewn on and dusty jeans with dirty runners, has an empty ammo-belt across his chest, PMC Issue combat gloves, metal flask hanging from his jacket.
Family history: None
Weapons: Old Combat Knife, Damaged Handgun, Makeshift Traps and other weapons
Style: A military CQC making use of old gear and makeshift weapons. Due to a lack of experience, he is unable to take on trained warriors man-to-man, but can defeat foes by trap laying and at long range with his gun and throwing knifes. He also has minor medical knowage as a combat medic, but mostly just quick-fixes. Zero magical skills or ninja skills. Good at Covert Ops, but we?ll see how well that works against ninjas.
Bio: after a failed PMC operation, Diablo was the only survivor of his group. After a few weeks wandering the forest trying to get home, he ran across the Village and soon became involved with the conflict. While unable to understand half of what any-one is on about, he is willing to learn and help however he can. Doesn't talk much about his past. A joker of sorts and is still getting used to the idea of clans and magic. Often left out of clan discussions and issues due to the fact he is an outsider. Try's to hang on to the lifestyle he once had.

Personality: Lazy, Battle loving, has a taste for waffles and kind of a romantic.

Family history: After Kozuigakure no Sato was destroyed by floods, the remainder of the Shiroikirema clan settled south of Mizugakure no Sato to recover.

Bio: The night Rukawa was born his father perished stalling one of the many floods that plauge Kozuigakure, leaving his mother to raise him by herself. His childhood was spent for the most part learning Kekkai jutsu from his mother. When he went on his first mission to Tanigakure no Sato (Village Hidden in Valleys) his team was ambushed by Nuke-nins and while his team got away, Rukawa received a stab wound through his left elbow, which caused his mother to go into overprotective mode for a year. He later revisited Tanigakure to learn the basics of Naginatajutsu and created his own style when he got back. After the flooding of Kozuigakure no Sato, the Shiroikirema clan settled south of Mizugakure no Sato. Rukawa, having survived the flooding, was sent to Konohagakure no Sato as an ambassador for the Shiroikirema clan. Rukawa then joined Konoha hoping to increase the relationship between the two factions.

I have been getting a laugh out of the fact that everyone has a kekkai genkai, when they're considered rare and valuable in the actual manga. Everyone wants to be a special snowflake, you see, but at this point whoever doesn't have one will end up being the most unique.

At the villages and in the war preperations you can see thousands of Ninjas without a kekkai genkai... they just don't have any names

I have a question - are we just normal Shinobi or special? Because I have a kekkei Genkai, so do others here (Like crystal) and they have plenty of justsus...
But we're just new chunin, right? So we're... sixteen, seventeen, we shouldn't have so much experience under our belt, it;s not like WE fought against the Akatsuki.
What's you opinion on the matter?

Kekkei genkai is going to be very stressful on you guys. yours is the perfect and balanced example of it, threatening to his health if not kept in check.

Name: Katsuo Yamauchi

Gender: Male

Age: 29

Appearance: Katsuo is about 6 feet tall with broad shoulders and an athletic frame. He has a very ?classic stoic? look about him with a strong jaw, electrifying sapphire eyes, and manly facial features. His hair is short and dirty brown with a clean shaven face. He wears a regular pair of black sandals and long grey pants, a tight sleeveless dark blue undershirt and a loose brown jacket with his clan symbol stitched into the back. The symbol is a diamond shape with two smaller versions on the inside, one inside the other so that it is the same symbol getting bigger as it moves outwards. He wears his shinobi headband like a necklace, and the metal part is made of sapphire. Finally, he wears a pair of fingerless ninja gloves, but rather than the usual metal plate on the back of the hand, they are also squares of sapphire.

Family History: Katsuo was born to the Yamauchi (within the mountain) clan after their successful revolution.

Weapons: His sapphires

Kekkei Genkai: Kurisutaru no sōsa (Crystal Manipulation)
This basically means he can make the Sapphire on his hands into almost any shape he wants

Strengths: He is tough, and extremely skilled with detailed, varied, and fast use of his control of Sapphire
Weaknesses: Thanks to his father?s neglect he has basically no combat skill other than crystal manipulation.

Bio: The Yamauchi clan was born from a ninja ?born from the crystals deep within the mountains? and their Kekkei Genkai is control over crystals. For the majority of their history until bery recently they were basically clan of mountain sages/hermits. The problem was that their abilities with various crystals could be worth lots and lots of money to a great many people. For decades they were taken as slaves and had their precious gems stolen from them. Over time some of them began to turn to a more militaristic stance. They were reprimanded by the elders that wanted to stay as they were and tentions built until the warriors battled with the sages and killed most of them in one night known as ?The night of flowing Ruby?. Katsuo was born just days after the revolution and when he developed beyond average skill in sapphire control, it was like a sign from the mountain that they had done the right thing, since sapphire is their noblest of gems. Unfortunately, this, along with the fact that he was name ?Victorious man? (English version of his name) in celebration of the revolution earned him the ire and despise of his father Ibana before he could speak. His father was in fact the son of the second highest sage, but was to much of a coward to oppose the warriors, so his projected self hatred and bitterness over the loss of the old ways caused him to refuse to acknowledge Katsuo. His skill was praised by the others in the clan but tradition called for Katsuo?s father be his teacher. Since his father refused to interact with his son in any way, he was left with poor at best knowledge of any jutsu other than crystal manipulation. He was raised by his mother, causing him to be proud of the new ways of the clan and have a strong moral code. He and his father grew to hate each other mutually, and he became a Leaf Village Shinobi just to spite his father. This worked specifically because he was the first Yamauchi to join with the leaf village, which lead to a trade agreement between the two and a pact of mutual support in war, all in the name of the new, warrior way of the clan. After this, Ibana has taken to refusing Katsuo entrance into their house when he is there.

I like it, but my one concern is how hard the crystal is. is it brittle? Will it fracture? how much control does he have over it?

Gender: Male
Age: 27
Appearance: 6ft 0", Crimson hair (dyed), Spiked back, white skin colour, Face like Dante's from DMC, Unshaven, Green eyes, Decked out in a Black tank top with a well-worn duster jacket with the Village's symbols sewn on and dusty jeans with dirty runners, has an empty ammo-belt across his chest, PMC Issue combat gloves, metal flask hanging from his jacket.
Family history: None
Weapons: Old Combat Knife, Damaged Handgun, Makeshift Traps and other weapons
Style: A military CQC making use of old gear and makeshift weapons. Due to a lack of experience, he is unable to take on trained warriors man-to-man, but can defeat foes by trap laying and at long range with his gun and throwing knifes. He also has minor medical knowage as a combat medic, but mostly just quick-fixes. Zero magical skills or ninja skills. Good at Covert Ops, but we?ll see how well that works against ninjas.
Bio: after a failed PMC operation, Diablo was the only survivor of his group. After a few weeks wandering the forest trying to get home, he ran across the Village and soon became involved with the conflict. While unable to understand half of what any-one is on about, he is willing to learn and help however he can. Doesn't talk much about his past. A joker of sorts and is still getting used to the idea of clans and magic. Often left out of clan discussions and issues due to the fact he is an outsider. Try's to hang on to the lifestyle he once had.

i have a number of problems with this. This is a nurto RP and it's based off of asain culture. a cowboy with a duster would be like a fire breathing elephant in a room full of monkeys. There are no firearms in the universe. and without a family history or past, he is literally a trenchcoater. sorry to shoot you down so harshly on one of your first few RP's but its the truth.

Age: 21

Appearance: Around 172 cm. Brown hair with green streaks that spikes downwards (google Kojuro Katakura), Pure white eyes, snow camo cargo-pants, white shirt with green hexagons under the arms and a pair of white fingerless gloves. He wears his Forehead protector around his left wrist.

Personality: Lazy, Battle loving, has a taste for waffles and kind of a romantic.

Family history: After Kozuigakure no Sato was destroyed by floods, the remainder of the Shiroikirema clan settled south of Mizugakure no Sato to recover.

Weapons: Naginata

Elemental affinity: Lightning

Ninjutsu:
