Nintendo Ambassador Program Now Available! 10 Free (actually quite awesome) NES Games!

Hello there Escapists, as you've probably heard, in an effort to say "sorry for reducing the price of the 3DS a few weeks after you bought it" Nintendo have released 10 free NES games exclusively to those people that stuck with the 3DS since it came out.

Those games are.....

Super Mario Bros.
Metroid
The Legend of Zelda
Wrecking Crew
NES Open Tournament Golf
Donkey Kong Jr.
Balloon Fight
Ice Climber
Zelda II: The adventure of Link
Mario & Yoshi

So what do you think? Are these the kind of games you would expect from a Nintendo dream give away? Did you get a chance to download them yet? Is giving away free games to entice people a good idea that other companies can follow?

...Let's just hope they do come out over here sometime, or I will be very, very mad.

Hey look, re-releases of games that nobody bought the fucking 3DS for.

I swear, I've got so many copies of the old Nintendo franchises lying around in one form or another, that I don't need any bloody more.

This is the reason I didn't buy a 3DS. Nintendo are so off their fucking game lately, that in order to apologise for screwing you over, they give you copies of games they made more than 15 years ago.

I'm still trying to work out why Nintendo thinks it's an appropriate apology to give 10 NES games to 3DS owners. The NES was before my time and I've been gaming since '92. Do they really think giving people 10 games from the 80's will make up for their lost money?

You might already have them , they do not show up anywhere on a list except the your personal downloaded list in nintendo's eshop


For me I got SMB 1 (always fun to push bowser into the lavapits.
Zelda 1 and 2 (never got to play the very first zelda)
Metroid 1 also never got around to play that one. Gonna love trying to complete those now)
