This!

If Nintendo was able to FORCE Atlus to star releasing games on CONSOLE again, I'd be happy.

If Nintendo went to Shinji Mikami and told him they would give him all the money and resources neccesary to make another God Hand game a reality I would be the happiest gamer alive.

That game is still good by today's standards and I'm still surprised new games haven't picked on any of its mechanics.

The only thing that irks me is Nintendo's Disney-like squeaky-clean ideology clouding the hyper-sexuality of the Bayonetta franchise.

Are they gonna turn her into an uptight schoolmarm?

My Doomsday scenario:

Nintendo buys the rights to the Half-Life franchise.

Half-Life becomes a platformer.

The platforming parts were the worst parts of Half-Life.

The best PC franchise of all time is ruined.

Dragon Quest?

They've already published a few of the games in the west, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

It's not like Nintendo is EA, a company that buys up rights, milks them to death and then dumps the bodies in a ditch (why yes, I am familiar with the image). But this Bayonetta situation is going to be interesting. Nintendo has made progress, however slowly, from being the company that censored Mortal Kombat. Bayonetta 2 can be a nice way to see just how far they've come...

Anyway, on topic: Barring any franchises currently owned by Nintendo (my favorite is Mario. Specifically the Mario RPGs in any form), I'd be interested to see what Nintendo would do with Assassin's Creed. They do 3D platformers well, and combat is at least somewhat similar to Zelda. What concerns me is how they'd do the atmosphere and historical setting. I wouldn't worry about the story. AC has gotten so bonkers I don't think Nintendo can screw it up any worse.

As for if I'd get it... I'm getting AC3 on the WiiU. That should answer that.

Nintendo tend to make and publish good games, so I wouldn't mind, so long as the system was affordable. If it was a dead franchise like Bayonetta, then YAY!!

I don't think Nintendo could do Silent Hill very well and I'd be utterly confused when I found out that Shadow Of The Colossus was getting a sequel.

Sure nintendo buy CnC, and make a new game with a story that makes sense.

It'll be weird having a RTS on a console, but if any currently announced console can do it properly, then the WiiU can with it's tablet like interface.

They cannot fuck it up any-more than EA already has.

I doubt Capcom is going to let go of Monster Hunter anytime soon.

But Since the next game were due to see is on WiiU/3DS im willing to give the WiiU a shot.

The only one of my favourite 3 that would make me buy the WiiU is if they bought the Final fantasy series. And eve nthen it'd have to be after I hear its as good as IX.
My other favourites - Total war series, just wouldnt work off pc so i wouldnt bother.
FIFA- Would be a mess, so i'd move to pro evo on the xbox instead.

Insofar as it is a videogame (well, with one game) franchise as well as a tabletop franchise, I think Warhammer 40K might work, and it'd be interesting to see Nintendo of all people's take on it.
Or fallout, I guess. That would be fucking weird.
Or Mass Effect. Oh shit, Nintendo, what are you doing?
I don't know, I don't have a franchise I massively prefer at the moment.

Do you mean you'd like it if SMT4 was on a console, or that you'd love it if SMT4 is funded by Nintendo? If you mean the latter, have you seen this?

OT: It would take a lot for me to buy a WiiU. However, thanks to Bayonetta 2 I'm keeping a cautious eye on it, rather than dismissing it out of hand.

Meh. I can't think of any single franchise that would get me to buy a WiiU at this point.

Maybe if they bought my five favourite franchises.

But I don't really have five favourites. Besides, most of my favourites are series that have recently finished (eg. Portal and Mass Effect).
Is that on principle, or because you don't want another console? Has Nintendo somehow unforgivably hurt you in the past?
Huh?

I think you might be mistaking disinterest for hostility. I don't have anything in particular against Nintendo. But nor do I have any interest in their products. As far an I'm concerned they're just "that company that makes Mario and Zelda games."

I'm not buying a WiiU because it doesn't have any games of sufficient interest to me and I wouldn't shell out hundreds of dollars for to a play a single game, no matter how much I like the franchise.

The same goes for the PS4 and whatever Microsoft comes out with.
