Nintendo confirm 3DS attachment

It was suspected for a little while now, but here it is.

I was expecting some kind of metal brace that attaches the 3DS to your skull!

I think it is a really good idea to add a second 3d pad (makes metal gear 3d sound more appetizing for sure) but I hope that is just a prototype and that it will look a little cleaner when it is released. After seeing this I'm pretty sure nintendo will release a second version of the 3ds with this second pad built in. On another note this attachment can be very useful for people with larger hands.

Could be handy, but I'd have to try the thing before judging. On another note, you'd think they would have noticed before from the PSP that one analogue stick isn't enough.

Damn... now do I buy a 3DS for Christmas as planned, or wait for the likely 2nd edition with one of these inbuilt? Nintendo, just please show your hand so I know where I'm standing, I want to support your handheld but you're making it difficult since I don't want to end up with sub-par tech to those who waited a couple more months than me.

Also it looks like the stylus will be even harder to take out, not to mention that the face buttons look almost inacssesable.

Great, another fuck you to the early adopters. Because now there will be a second version of the system with that built in and it won't be so bulky.
