So finally, we get the first nintendo direct of 2019. Fire emblem is sure to be present because it's in the direct announcement. What else can we see ?

i think the star fox race game might show up, now that retro have taken over metroid prime 4. spyro have been leak by retailers, so it might as well show up there. i would bet that AC III remaster might ended up be announced. They will probably announced a new smash dlc fighter too.

i dont think we will se anomal crossing or pokemon, because they will keep that for E3.

i think they will be no games announced for the 3ds, marking it official death.

I wouldn't mind announcements for Mario 3D World or Tokyo Mirage Sessions tho. Yeah, that's more Wii U to Switch ports, but I don't have a Wii U and I'm not gonna get one for 2-3 games. It's sort of selfish, but whatever. Suck it.

Doubt we'll get Pokemon, because that's likely to be late in the year. Doubt we'll see Metroid Prime 4 for the same reason. Don't need to see any more of Yoshi's Crafted World; we've already got plenty of gameplay footage, nothing more is required.

So, wanna see Fire Emblem and Luigi's Mansion 3. The first is already confirmed, happily.

There was a short exchange on Twitter between the voice actress of Shantae and Edelgard (Christina Vee) and a dev for Shantae that said she'd voice a character in Smash. If they weren't taking the piss out of us, I'd guess Edelgard will be announced for Smash during the appropriately Fire Emblem-themed Direct.

Considering Roy and Corrin, seems like adding the main character from a yet-to-be released Fire Emblem game has become Smash tradition.

with the success they got with civ VI apparently, i hope that 2k would port Xcom series to the switch.

I predict unrealistic expectations and a lot of people who will never buy a Switch watching and then complaining.

In all seriousness I expect the centerpiece will be Fire Emblem with a smattering of smaller titles to preview what the year is going to be like

Otherwise, they will talk about the new Fire Emblem game, maybe a new bayonetta 3 teaser, probably another Mario of some kind for the year. Upcoming ports of old ass games (like Final Fantasy games).

And hopefully a new pokemon generation game.

There's a lot of rumors about a Metroid Prime Trilogy port, and I'm here desperately trying not to get my hopes up.

Aside from that, I'm just looking forward to more info and announcements. Maybe some footage from Joker in Smash.
