it's name ? the NES ! exactly the Nintendo classic mini NES

ok, it's not technically a console, but still, for somewhere around 69$ you can plug this exact replica of the NES preloaded with 30 games, take the classic NES controller and play classic games on your HDTV.

the games included are :

Balloon Fight?
BUBBLE BOBBLE
Castlevania?
Castlevania II: Simon?s Quest?
Donkey Kong?
Donkey Kong Jr. ?
DOUBLE DRAGON II: THE REVENGE
Dr. Mario?
Excitebike?
FINAL FANTASY?
Galaga?
GHOSTS?N GOBLINS?
GRADIUS?
Ice Climber?
Kid Icarus?
Kirby?s Adventure?
Mario Bros. ?
MEGA MAN? 2
Metroid?
NINJA GAIDEN
PAC-MAN?
Punch-Out!! ? Featuring Mr. Dream
StarTropics?
SUPER C?
Super Mario Bros.?
Super Mario Bros. ? 2
Super Mario Bros. ? 3
TECMO BOWL
The Legend of Zelda?
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link?

and you can buy a second controller. for what i understand, it can also play wii and wiiu virtual console games, so i guess you can plug it on the internet to retreive your nintendo account...

you think it have a chance of selling well for christmas this year ?

For fucks sake, Nintendo. I'm all for interesting nick nacks, but this is just silly.

I wonder how much the controllers are because if I get the Nes that may stay in the box. The controllers I can still use with the Wii and WiiU Hopefully.

And it comes with 30 games! And Euros don't get a power brick! And it plays none of the original carts and no plans for expandability!

Are you HYPE?

Also you can buy the controllers on their own and you can use it with a Wii or Wii U, and you can use the Classic/Classic Pro controller with it as well. Connects through HDMI and it sounds like it's powered via Micro-USB.

I dont know if I will get it but some of those games are absolute classics that I still play to this day especially the Mario games, Punchout and Bubble frikin Bobble (love that game).

If the other controller is cheap enough I may get it so I can easily take it round friends houses to play Bubble Bobble and Double Dragon like we did in ye olden days.

Unless the article on the Escapist is wrong, there is no online connectivity at all for this console, so unfortunately you can't get any of your VC games.

yeah, i misreaded what was written. The classic controller that come with it is compatible with all the virtual console game, not the box itself. so you can use the controller that come with it to play VC games on your wii and wiiu...

Are you able to add a poll? I wonder if people would prefer they do this with an SNES collection or N64 (Gamecube likely impractical). I'm thinking the SNES would not be much more difficult or expensive but there was a notable improvement over NES.

I am distinctly not hype. While it's cute and all, the lack of expandability makes it an expensive, limited emulator. Outside of it sitting on a shelf looking neat, I don't see the point.

A reskinned Raspberry Pi with an ergonomical nightmare of a controller, and that for 60 bucks? No thank you.
