Nintendo, the home of games you've already played before, on other consoles, with better hardware, years ago.

Same as MacOS now that I think about it...
Except with the Switch you can take it on the go. Pretty big difference.
Not really. I have been playing handheld games for years and I can say that next to the DS and 3DS, the Switch library doesn't compare. The Switch is also much harder to stuff in a pocket and much more fragile. It is not the best handheld I have ever played.

That I can play old games on the go is nothing new to me. I can't even play Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy VI on the Switch but I can on my DS (CT on 3DS as well).

I find it quite irritating that some people act like handheld gaming started with the Switch.

Bloodborne

i dearly desire to see the rage that would ensue, for I must feed once again
nah i'd prefer to see Bloodborne 2 announced and confirmed to be exclusive to either Nintendo Switch or Xbox One i don't care which.

i'd just find the shitstorm hilarious. when Bayonetta 2 was confirmed exclusive i was LMAO at how angry everyone was about it. hell some people are still mad that Bayonetta 3 is Nintendo exclusive, i think some Bayo 1 fans are clinging on to hope that the series might come back and Bayo 2 & 3 will get ported lol.

Let me be clear because I don't want people to misunderstand me.

THE SWITCH NEEDS IT'S OWN IP!!! Ports are fine, but they don't make for a great system.
ARMS says hi! :)

As a warframe player I'm....Not sure how to feel about this.

Like, I enjoy the game, but I really really need my mouse and keyboard for this game. XD

So...Not likely to migrate over. Still, really cool.

Well the trailer does say it's free so that's definitely an incentive to at least try it lol.

i think we might get a few other big FTP multiplayer heavy games comming out in 2018 to justify the online service.

i honestly never played or heard of this game before, but it seems to be a very big and good game...

I can't fathom the movement working on a keyboard, funnily enough. Though the mouse aiming would be nice (particularly with Warframe's usual boss mechanic of "Shoot the 2mm glowing weak spot that only appears for half a second while its attacking").

I would kind of question the perfomance though. Part of Warframe involves mass hordes of enemies being blown apart by particle effects, it gets kind of rough even on the other consoles sometimes. Particularly in portable mode, where Warframe would probably be generally suited given its broken up into small mission slices most of the time that could easily fit portable play.

"Pay to play Free to Play games!", Hmm, yeah, no, that's not really a good justification now is it? Hard to say at this time, but it would be neat if Free to Play games don't require the paid subscription.

Maybe it uses a variable resolution like Wolfenstein, dropping the resolution when needed.

Panic Buttons major Switch port just got confirmed.

Neat. I heard a lot of Destiny players went over to this after Destiny II kept making odd design choices while Warframe actually does the FTP model well. Plus it has space ninjas

I dunno about doing the FTP model well. Getting anything in warfare takes absolutely forever if you're a free player. If you want to get a new suits (i.e. class), you need to grind for the individual blueprints (which means killing the same boss over and over again) then you need to craft the pieces, which means grinning for the material and then waiting a certain number real life day for it to be crafted (iirc you can only craft one thing at a time) and then you need to combine all the piece for a few more days and then you'll have your new suits... With all of it's power at level 1 making it almost unusable so you'll need to grind for that too.

In other word, everything is technically possible to be obtained if you don't spend money, but it takes forever so don't expect much progress as a free player.

Ehh, the only thing that's hard for a freebie player is stuff like Forma, and the initial run up to the Rhino frame. Or clrearing the unpopular map nodes.

Past that, just research which particular style of unbalanced gun you want and get it early. Those will carry you the rest of the way.

I dunno if they changed it at some point, but you can definitely craft multiple things at a time.

There are a few multistage things like akimbo guns and combo stuff like the shotgun sword, and most notably, Warframes. In that case its 8 hours for the 3 components and 72 for the final frame (and a couple of frames are obnoxious and built out of other frame parts or multiple sets).

Forma is (as the above guy mentioned), the main obnoxious thing. Its used for making a variety of weapons, customizing your frame, literally everything including basic hallways in the clan HQ (which you need to access some weapons and frames) and here there for your faction levelups and other things, but takes 12 hours, and you can't multiqueue it.

I wouldn't credit them with too much altruism of course. There's stuff like only have part of the basic colour pallette in the freebie list (Black, always a favorite is notably missing). Several cash packs that even their community calls "Noob traps". A total absence of even a trickle of platinum (which will you need at least a handful of Warframe slots as there's a few that you can't dismantle without losing them permanently within the free-space.

More accurately, they'll carry you up to about Neptune, when the game's difficulty really starts to show its teeth.

If I'm not running my forma'd and potato'd Oberon or Excalibur, with my heavily modded Soma or Hek, I'm going to get dunked on in a lot of the later nodes on the starmap.

I don't think he was implying to neglect the mods on the gun, or you won't even get to Neptune in all likelihood.

I got to the Kuve Fortress before I ever really started using Forma, while juggling rando weapons for mastery even (though I did come back to Soma and Broken War a lot). Though I did use Oberon or Inaros, which are both fairly tough frames.

yeah, but that's console multiplayer, even on xbone or on ps4 you need to get the paid subscription to play FTP games like warframe or fortnite...

I dunno about Xbox, but Warframe (and other Free to plays) all don't need PSPlus. Final Fantasy 14 also doesn't as the odd case out.

Elder Scrolls Online was also not originally supposed to require it, but that became a confusing mess because of Microsoft.
